Small Animal Cage Accessory: Marshall Pirate Ship Review

My ferrets love it! This is actually their second as they destroyed the first in their ongoing battle for the pirate master. It's very strong (the last one lasted over four years) and I look forward to many more years of fun/cuddling/power struggles.

This is a great design except my ferrets find it too open to sleep in and not play in. It's really well made and I'm sad they don't use it. It's big enough for two. If the windows had flaps that could be closed with velcro it might be a good place to sleep. I gave five stars because the quality is great if not the design.

Loved it when I first bought it for two furries. However, my female could chew/dig and within a few days her insides were torn apart. I cleaned it and removed the rest of the foam but it was too late. A day later my sweet BonBon had an internal blockage and died in my arms before I could get her to the vet. Just remember that no one will suffer such a loss.

Beautiful but very cheap. Didn't even last a week on my rats. I've had them for over a year and it was the first thing they ripped. I think it was a coincidence. just couldn't stand the claws climbing around. He drowned. was not tenable. Her hair just clung to the inner fabric like a magnet. it was hard. There's a huge nest in just a week. I'm so sad it didn't last. it was so cute!

Our ferret doesn't like it that much. It's awkward to hang and very warped, taking a long time to hold the top up. There is little space in the floor and without the use of a cardboard floor insert it will be difficult for our ferret to get in and out. But with an insole, the floor becomes too hard and it is not interesting to sleep in it. Definitely not big enough for more than one - our grown (little) boy is really too big to lie comfortably in.

My ferrets LOVE this ship. The old one broke, I had to order a new one. Unfortunately, both ships had the same problem - threads getting wrapped around my ferrets' limbs. I returned home after being gone most of the day to find my smallest female locked away on this ship. Her arm was very swollen and I thought she broke it - thank God it was just a dislocation. Marshall's Pirate Ship (Home) Accessory is a great little sleeper ship for any pirate ferrets you might have. My boy, Captain Jack, was in dire need of a ship and it suited him perfectly.
