Liquid white suits me. I tried to follow Bob Ross' instructions and tried replacing it with a mixture of oil and white paint but it didn't work. This liquid white gave me very good results.

MUCH easier than making your own liquid white! You have to mix the right amount of linseed oil with regular titanium white and it's just a mess. This liquid white is a much more reliable alternative to that!

According to Bob, you should start with a "white" canvas first. This product really is. This is a brilliant white color to enhance the perfect picture. Applied evenly, without streaks. I wish Bob was still around, but thank goodness his products are still here, thanks Bob.

It doesn't matter what brand of tube oil paint you use, this product is fine. The perfect consistency every time, and it's a lot easier, more convenient and more economical than trying to mix Liquid White yourself. This product was inexpensive.

I forgot to put liquid white on the canvas before applying the oil paint. I had to stop and order before continuing with the rest of this painting. Silky smooth, it stays wet for the wet-on-wet technique, and when it got here it was wrapped in plastic in case it leaked. I appreciate that kind of attention to detail.

I've been painting for ages (50+ years) and can honestly say this product has the worst drying time and stays tacky after six weeks...paints don't stick to the right surface...I had to mine use normal linseed oil, zinc white and a color of my choice. This is a one-time use product, not for layering and applying paint to create a more detailed painting in multiple layers...don't waste your time, patience and money...
