Old blacksmith's hammer

Great product for its purpose. Important, although I couldn't find it anywhere: 1&1/4" neck length, 11/32" width and 19/32" depth for your receiver hole.

Pros
  • Part number: MRTHH42B
Cons
  • Some little things

Nice handle for small hammers

The top of the handle was a little smaller than I expected but the shoulder grind fitted a bit. Comfortable grip, durable, with a beautiful finish. I'm glad to have my favorite brass hammer back at a good price.

Pros
  • Package Weight: 0.3lbs
Cons
  • Quick Instructions

Too small for hammer head

Quality looks good but diameter is too small for my 8oz hammer head. I wish they would post the measurements but I'll probably keep them in case I get to use them with another hammer/tool in the future. I don't want to cut it short using the thicker part of the handle instead of the 8oz head, so I'll have to order another brand or just go to the local market. I know hammer heads vary a lot, but you might think they're on the wrong side of too much material (which can always be removed) and too…

Too small for the hammer head hole.

I bought 2 handles - they look and feel good. The only problem is that they are too small to open the hammer head. My husband had to cut about 1-3/16" off the tip so he could use the wider end of the hammer for a tight fit. The description says "full body hammers" but they don't fit his or his friend's hammer heads .I'm glad he was able to change it - so far so good.

Pros
  • Hammers
Cons
  • Poor instructions

Too small for hammer head

Quality looks good but the diameter is too small for my 8 oz ball crusher head. I wish they would post the measurements but I'll probably keep them in case I get to use them with another hammer/tool in the future. I don't want to trim it down to use the thicker part of the handle instead of the 8oz head, so I'll have to order another brand or just go local. I know hammer heads are very different, but you might think they are on the wrong side of too much material (which can always be removed)…

Pros
  • Tools and household items
Cons
  • Some bugs
