Excellent replacement part, perfect fit

Works great! I pulled out the old broken lens on the main cylinder and pushed it in with a large C clip. I installed it on an original '86 Honda Goldwing master cylinder.

Pros
  • Handy item
Cons
  • Vulgarity

Fits great and doesn't leak but a bit cheap but exactly as advertised

I don't know how long it will last but they fit perfectly and don't leak. They were exactly as advertised, they said if you want them to be better order their other version, the glass version. I wasn't quite sure what to expect and when I received them I was glad they fit and worked.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Poor instructions

Does not fit 1985 Fourtrax 250

Does not fit 1985 Honda Fourtrax 250 master cylinder. I understand the installation process. The depth must have been wrong because when pushed, it completely crushed the master cylinder o-ring groove before the sight glass was even remotely level. The master brake cylinder is original. After I removed it and used the second glass, all I had to do was place the o-ring in the hole and press the glass against it and hope for the best. So far, so good.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Some minor things

Short-lived: Brake

*EDIT* Brake sight glass deteriorated in two years. Not bad for the price but definitely not a 5 star product. The original review is as follows: Worked exactly as intended on my '86 Honda Goldwing. Be sure to remove all pieces of the old sight glass before attempting to install this - often a metal ring will remain after you pull out the main glass. old ones, but I don't think they will.

Pros
  • Weight
Cons
  • Only available in Black

Worked great for something the dealer said didn't stock

I tried to clean the service glass on my quad's front master cylinder and found it was soft and leaking brake fluid. The local dealer said I had to buy a complete handbrake assembly for about $70. I kept looking and found these and thought I'd give them a try. It took about 10 minutes to fix the leak. Just touch the old one by slightly heating the heat gun and the ring and gasket will be easy to remove. Clean the hole and install the new glass and ring with a clamp and wood. When properly…

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Can't remember

Great but will need to use C-Clamp for install

Works great but you will need 2 because like me you break one you will need the second, it fits my 86 Honda Shadow 500 and leaks but doesn't I'm not saying you shouldn't try this installation method. The best way to avoid bending the sight glass body is to use a block of wood and a vice. I used a c-clip and a block of wood to make sure it went in evenly and once it was in I took the block out, covered the scope with a rag and laid the c-clip down the way you rotate it. but only the side that is

Pros
  • Pretty packaging
Cons
  • Has quirks
