Useless Lock for Automotive Towing

After trying this product, I realized it was a complete waste of money. The lock mechanism was difficult to operate and seemed flimsy. While the design appeared to be sturdy, it failed to hold up after a few uses. The one advantage of this lock is that it fit easily onto the towing hook. However, that was not enough to justify the poor quality of this product. Overall, I would not recommend this product to anyone seeking a reliable towing lock.

Pros
  • Strong and durable construction
Cons
  • Difficult to open in low-light or dark conditions

Actually it is not suitable for Class II receivers.

I received this ball mount for use on a Class II towbar. It appears to be the right size, but the stock is too big to fit a Class II receiver. I had to send it back. I bought a Reese ball joint and it fit. So it wasn't my hitch receiver.

Pros
  • Towbar mounts
Cons

Mine works fine but hardware not included

My 2001 Cavalier has a third party Class II receiver but it didn't have a ball mount when I bought the car. It was an inexpensive solution that fits and works well. However, I was surprised to see that it doesn't have a cross bolt. We do it because of the large screw that turned out to be the right diameter.

Pros
  • Automotive
Cons
  • Not as good as it says
