Works perfectly! on Car Safety & Security

Nice that the camera is working again! Easy to DIY, watch some YouTube videos first. The original lines are there too, my 2012 xlt didn't have any curved lines.

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • Socket required

Works perfectly! fits car backup cameras

This camera works great with my 2012 Ford Explorer. The picture is very clear and the installation was easy (for my husband). No programming required, works flawlessly right out of the box.

Works best in automotive and automotive electronics

I am a single mom and my 15 year old son was able to fit a backup camera in his 2011 Ford Explorer. It took 20 minutes in total. The rear camera works great, the quality is excellent. I am so happy with this camera.

Get this! suitable for car rear view cameras

3rd time charm. Don't waste your time and money with other options. Just spend a little more and get this one! Works great in our 2011 Ford Explorer XLT as a factory replacement. Ford wanted over $400 just to replace the camera. no thanks lol Thank you Master Tailgaters for a good product that works as it should πŸ‘

Pros
  • High quality construction
Cons
  • Expensive

Works perfectly! suitable for automotive electronics

When I received the product, the instructions were a bit confusing. I understand that these instructions are intended for an alternative way to install the product and not to replace a failed camera. Found a camera replacement guide on youtube.com and it works great. I'm not sure if it's exactly the same image quality or not, but it works great.

Pros
  • Best in class
Cons
  • Weight

Excellent customer service

I bought it in May 2020 and after about 45 - 60 days the block was smeared for some reason. I contacted Revain who put me in touch with Master Tailgates customer service. I sent some pictures showing the screen and they immediately sent me a replacement with a return package. I wish all companies would have responded so quickly when there was a problem. Excellent work.

Pros
  • Everything is great!
Cons
  • Low maintainability

Just buy it! in automotive electronics

Why didn't I buy this a few months ago. My 2011 Explorer camera looked like it had cataracts and was pretty much useless. Lately it hasn't worked most of the time when it's been very hot. Forget to see anything at night, too much light will only ruin the picture. It took ten minutes to install this camera and all our parking aids are back. The only thing that bothered me was that my camera was 55BY and this one 55BT or vice versa.

Pros
  • Robust design
Cons
  • Damaged

Installation was easy.

The camera was sealed in anti-static bubble wrap. A protective tape protected the camera lens from fingerprints and scratches. There was a printed insert in the box, but it was of no use as it involved installing a camera in a vehicle without a camera. I had previously learned how to remove and swap out the camera from a YouTube video, so it was pretty easy - took about half an hour to complete. Video quality, including brightness, is excellent and appears to be better than the original camera.

Pros
  • cool item
Cons
  • something else
