Bought to hit matcha after returning from a trip to Japan. I use it almost every day and love it. It's easy to beat the matcha to get a fine foam that's easy to drink from. It's easy to clean and looks gorgeous on the kitchen table next to a chases and teapot. As some of the other reviewers have pointed out, the bowl is a lovely soft hue of pale sage green. Very happy with the product.

I read all the negative reviews and decided to buy these mugs. I ordered 6 of these and they arrived at my house a few minutes ago. When I opened the box, each was packed better than I could have imagined; therefore no breaks or chips. The bowls are NOT exactly the same as shown in the picture. YOU ARE MUCH BETTER! They look like professional pottery - well made and a combination of light green and brown. They are smooth as glass with a great finish. I love her and can only warmly recommend her

The bowl I received is not exactly the one in the picture but I think it looks much nicer. It's a nice light green. I want to say meerschaum, but I'm probably wrong. It has small brownish-purple details around the lip and at the base as shown in the picture. It has a handcrafted look due to the small number of "imperfections" that give it character. Despite many reviews of broken bowls, I dared and ordered this Matcha bowl. So happy to open the shipping box to find a perfectly intact shell in a green box ready to tie a gift bow. I will keep this one but will probably buy a few more for myself and for friends and family. My chawan bowl arrived today and I am happy with what I received. The shell has the same shape as in the picture but the color is pale green with a brown accent at the base. It's a glossy finish with brown swirls on the inside. Apparently it was made by hand on a potter's wheel by a skilled craftsman. It came in a small, flimsy cardboard box with a piece of tissue paper in the bowl, which was then placed in a standard Revain mailer box with airbags. The box with the bowl was sealed with tape…
