So glad I decided to try these grommets for my curtains!I wanted something minimalistic and easy to use. These are perfect and look better than expected. I used medium weight cotton fabric. On the picture you can see that I just folded the fabric and included the interfacing. I didn't want any seams on top. I tried and tried to get a set to snap on and HOLD. Finally thought to try a different pair of grommets, and wah-lah! Success! I was almost to the point of cutting off the area that needed the grommets, but glad I tried a different pair.The fabric was a double sided, quilted. After I cut the hole, I pulled out the batting inn that area so it wasn't so thick. When the right pair worked, it was great. Sure spent some frustrating days prior to that, though.

These are plastic, which was a little disappointing, but they don't look plastic when you get them up and in place. These have a nice matte finish but still have a slight shine. They were not difficult to snap together. The hardest part was cutting the hole out so the ring could snap into place. I used these on a woven, almost burlap like fabric, that was slightly slick. These grommets are easy to install and look great. and.I'm sure if you use them on curtains, they will be fine. BUT, I used them on a Christmas stocking that got a lot of handling and they tended to pop out. Next time that I use them on something that will be handled a lot, I will put a dab of glue inside to hold them together.
