Sealing the bead on the rim

While these tires worked out fine in the end, I found it extremely hard to seal the bead on the rim using a 10-gallon air compressor. I ended up tightening two rachet straps around the circumference of the tire on each edge to force the bead closer to the rim. Then I hit the top edge of the tire with a rubber mallet to help the bead creep up onto the shoulder of the rim. I removed the stem valve and used the blow-gun nozzle on my compressor to push the beads out to the edge of the rim. Removed…

Pros
  • Tread is good for highway use
Cons
  • Inconsistent tread wear and lifespan

Perfect replacement for cheapo utility trailer tires!

A year earlier I had bought a pair of trailer wheels and tires for my little utility trailer. Despite being new, I had the valve stems fail, and the tires constantly going flat. The cheapo rims were OK. I replaced the valve stems but the tires still wouldn't hold air. They also started to age check in a short time. SO, I replaced the tires with these. They have a higher load rating than the original and replacement tires. They cost as much as the cheapo rim and tire combo. HOWEVER, they hold…

Pros
  • Perfect.
Cons
  • Mediocre load capacity for heavier trailers or boats

Works as expected in my review

These tires were exactly what we needed. We put them right on our farm equipment and have had no problems so far. Would recommend.

Pros
  • The tire must be heated to get it onto the rim.
Cons
  • Uncomfortable ride quality on bumpy roads

Mounting them is the hard part.

Well made. Good load range to carry my log splitter over the highway. I do recommend having them mounted if you do not have the experience or large tire spoons

Pros
  • New tires for my log splitter. Worked great ... not going flat ... nothing more to say.
Cons
  • Narrow profile leaves little room for error when towing

Good price on two tire set

I have not put them on the trailer wheels yet, but they arrived on time and they look like really good quality tires from a visual stand point. They should work fine once I get them mounted. Four stars since I haven't used them yet.

Pros
  • Exactly what I ordered and here very fast and I liked the bundle deal instead of buying individual
Cons
  • Limited traction on wet or slippery surfaces

You WILL need a third hand

Bought these for a wood splitter, tires were old/cracked, not holding air. Easy enough to remove with tire irons from motorcycling days, but I had to take the wheels/tires to a friend’s custom jeep shop to clamp onto the tire machine and it took two of us to get the tires on the wheels.Seem like good tires, might last 20 years like the others did.To think I used to do this kind of stuff on motorcycle wheels in my driveway back in the day….

Pros
  • Heavy duty replacement tires.
Cons
  • Size limitations for larger trailer models
