Difficult to write on but high quality diskette.

Good disks. They're all black, so the markings require some creativity (a sticker will work if you have some). I use a tool that only outputs data to a floppy disk. You and a suitable reader cost significantly less than buying a new one! (Note that the USB floppy disk readers you find on Amazon are extremely poor quality.)

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Hard to say

This is a very reliable product at a reasonable price.

April 30, 2019 Tuesday. 21:52 I've bought several cases of these 3 1/2" floppy disks and they're great. I haven't had any major technical problems while using them. I have an older computer that still uses a 3 1/2". -Disk required and love the reliability of this Maxell product I will order again Thanks again Renetta K. Thompson Thank you very much

Water damage and all drives failed

These drives were water damaged and none worked. I bought these in late 2019 because I ran out of high density 3.5 inch floppy disks and only opened them yesterday. Obviously too late for a return and the seller must have known they weren't good because they put new shrink wrap on the box. . You could tell from the smell and rust on the metal hub of the discs that the water damage happened years ago.

How long have you been sitting on the shelf?

Although claiming to be 100% certified and tested, the box I received contained six out of ten diskettes that were unformatted. I sent the box back and got a replacement from the same manufacturer. In the second box, only one in ten failed to format. At over two dollars each, I expect ALL to work with no problems. I think these are leftovers put in storage after floppy disks fell out of favor many years ago. If I get more, it will be from another manufacturer.

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • Not as thick as other picks

Your F6 Startup Disk

I ordered this from Harvey's Coin Op Inc. here at Revain and the packaging is different from the blue shipping box. Tested with Esynic external floppy drive on Windows XP 64-bit, Windows 7 64-bit and MacBook Pro High Sierra. They worked. It appeared as FAT12 with 1.5MB of memory on the MacBook Pro. Contains 10 disks per pack. On the side and back of the package, the properties of high-density disks are described: 1. Anti-mold products2. Self-cleaning liner3. Pre-formatted to save time4…

Assuming one of these actually works, I'd love the texture and color of the disc. In the box you will receive a pack of stickers. I'm really fighting here. The downside is that the slider is plastic (it can break and get stuck in some drives). Oh, and none of the drives actually worked on any drive I tested them on. Didn't even format it. After the first two failed and the third was 50% formatted, I figured maybe there are only a few bad ones. NO. Not alone. Your mileage may vary, but I buy…
