Unstranded cable

Stranded cables can withstand much more bending and bend with a smaller radius. This cable was listed as a stranded cable, but it is not. I used it for another purpose where I needed stranded wire and after cutting it I found that it wasn't twisted. Stranded cables are more expensive and of better quality and this is not one.

Pros
  • Category 6 cable
Cons
  • Thin

Retaining tab broke too early

Long cable for the price you paid but in this case you get what you pay for. The latch on the end of the Ethernet port broke after a few uses. Can be a good cable if you stick it once and never move it, but if you switch between devices from time to time I would suggest getting a different brand of cable.

Seems to work great

I don't know how to tell if it really is CAT6 and not CAT5 but the case says CAT6. It works great. I have a scamcast in town so I have good internet. I stacked about 120 feet of it towards the back of the house. My ping usually fluctuates between 15ms and 30ms when using this cable. I cut off the ends and plugged into an outlet with no problem and used my own ends.
