Very strong! in spares

They are very strong and easily raise the gate. My automatic gate opens again, but I wouldn't use it to close now because they're afraid I'll ruin the motor. My 2006 town and country car had clips on one side instead of screws, but it was easy enough to remove the clip bushing and replace with these bolted ones.

Pros
  • Pleasant
Cons
  • too blunt

Easy to install and quick to open

I was very happy with the product. I could easily install it myself in 5 minutes if I didn't need someone else to hold the tailgate. It was a chore to remove the old ones, but the new ones installed in minutes. The gate opens fairly quickly now, so be careful not to hit yourself while opening.

Pros
  • One year trial
Cons
  • Annoying

Good design and price

I used to buy a cheaper set through Amazon and they were really poor quality with flimsy hardware that was exposed and bent. This one is of slightly better quality (you still have to be careful not to tear off the torx heads), but the design allows for overall length adjustments to ensure the correct angle for the screws being installed. Good design makes work easier.

Pros
  • Great selection
Cons
  • Low repairability

What a great product at any price!

This is the second Maxpow rear lift kit I've fitted to cars. After reading some negative and positive reviews, I quickly understood why people were dissatisfied; You need the right tools (TORX bits) and a way to "unload" the jacks when you take the old ones off and put the new ones on. These lifters require over 200 pounds of force to squeeze them together, you can't do that! And if you loosen the old bolts before opening the door wide enough to unload the lifts, you will cut threads, damage…

Pros
  • Same as everything until now
Cons
  • It's hard to remember but it was

These are very strong racks

Just finished fitting their kit into an old van and it was NOT a 5 minute job - took about an hour but the new racks are no mistake. The new struts fit great but be careful when putting the bolts back in - the strut needs to be lined up properly for the bolt to fit properly or you could snap the bolts or worse, damage the bolt hole in the car. I did it as a one man job and it probably doubled the time it took me. I ended up using a push broom to open the door as I didn't have the right length…

Pros
  • There's something to it
Cons
  • Compatibility
