Maxpow 2 Tailgate and 2 Rear Window Glass Lift Supports Struts: Compatible with Suburban Tahoe / GMC Yukon 2000-2006 (4185 4557) Review

2001 Chevy Tahoe. Racks snapped into place immediately. I checked both the rear and the window and there were no problems. You will need help or a good jack to open during installation. Before that, all 4 racks were in the trash. All 4 frames stood without problems. It's so nice to hear that "whistle" sound when you open it. I heard in reviews that some people had problems with the glass sunroof closed. In this case I would suggest replacing the latch on the rear window.

The hardest part was removing my old one. I filmed the clip across the yard so you can put on goggles as instructed. The new ones fit perfectly and work great. The ones for the rear window are a little tight and actually took some time to close, but my old ones were probably like that when they were new. It will be nice not to bang my head on the tailgate anymore as it slowly falls down behind me. I opened the hatch and it slowly opened by itself!

I was able to replace the old factory struts for both the glass lift and tailgate on our 2005 Chevy Tahoe in less than 15 minutes. The MaxPow units felt a little longer than the factory stays, but that could be because the factory stays were badly worn from years of use. on the brackets while I lifted the heavy tailgate all the way up. If you are small you may need a ladder to get the tailgate high enough to complete the installation. Great quality and I will immediately buy them for other cars
