I have an outlet at my desk in our office that is difficult to reach and some lights are high up that need an extension so this is perfect! I still have one of these in my bedroom but a little shorter and the extra length came in handy in this set. The plug is closer to the outlet, but still far enough away for easier access.

Well my kid next to clap on/off really likes this product. We hung Asian style lanterns in his bedroom when he was supposed to look like a ninja and they just plug directly into the wall with no switches. So we hooked it up to an extension cord and then to a faucet extension cord, and not only can it turn the light on and off, but it can pull it up to the bedside table and control it from there. Love! Love!

You have to press the button twice, sometimes it has to be pressed firmly to cause a rotation to turn it on. Who in their right mind would want a switch knob next to an extension cord socket! This defeats my purpose. My ideal switch would be farther away from the cable plug, for example at the end of the cable, so that you can easily reach it with your foot or hand and turn on the light.

We received two packages for our Christmas tree this year. It's a lot easier to use a footswitch than reaching for thick wood to plug it in. Too bad, because within a week the first one was gone. So I assumed it was an accident and replaced the cable with a second one. Tonight, a week later, the second one broke. The light just doesn't come on. It's too late for me to go back because I was looking forward to Christmas for quite a while then. So a week's use of each cable.
