Very happy with these tires!

I ordered these tires to replace my 2019 Trek Fuel EX 8 and noticed an immediate improvement in cornering grip and better directional stability on slopes. They shame the stock bearers. The compound is noticeably softer so they'll probably wear out quicker than my stock tires, but I'm okay with that. The safety and handling you get from these tires is a great compromise.

Pros
  • Very good value
Cons
  • Expensive

Stiff and good buzz!

I use Maxxis Recon on the front of a Jones spaceframe and love it! It has enough sidewall for stability on ventilated descents, the center lugs are close enough to roll on hardpack and gravel without excessive vibration, the side lugs cut deep into turns and are blown through by a tight-fitting tubeless. A great size that I really like between the regular 3-inch 29-plus sizes and the standard 29-inch offerings. It showed minimal front end wear over more than 700 miles of mixed terrain in New…

As expected in Sport

I ordered and received a Rekon 29 x 2.40 WT EXO TR tire marked M349RU and TB00017700 on the label. It is listed for a 30-35 internal width rim and I installed it on my front rim which has a 30mm internal width. The frame width when installed was 2.25 inches. By my standards, it weighs 900g, which is 50g more than the advertised weight of 849g. I needed a light, easy-rolling tire for technical climbing and loose and hard trails. I have ridden it several times and am happy with its performance in

Pros
  • Everything great!
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging

These are excellent tyres. I drove on different tires.

Great tires. I have ridden a variety of tires over the past 15 years and the quality of these tires is at the top of the spectrum. They are slightly smaller than Plus Size, but still have a large contact area with very good rolling resistance (low). Traction is excellent and I've ridden it on a wide range of terrain with a few drops and jumps. I often ride rocky technical sections and they cling like a goat. From the High Roller II set, these are also very good tires but roll slower. In any…

Beautiful tire! - Tires and Tubes

This tire is awesome! I just upgraded my bike - traded in my 10 year old Specialized Enduro for a 2018 Pivot Mach 5.5 - this bike is amazing! In terms of tire size and performance - I have a bike with 3" tires and I think they are a little big. Pivot and Maxxis tried to find a sweet spot between the 2.2 and 2.3 we all rode and the big 3 inch tires and I think they did a great job with that. This size 2.6 does not fold and my rims are designed to fit these tires. Apparently this was an issue…

Pros
  • Excellent Construction
Cons
  • Not Bad
