That's what I was looking for: powder, not granules. Maybe next time it could be sold in a more user-friendly dispenser like spice or salt containers.

I saw a guy on YouTube saying he uses alum for ulcers. I get the worst ulcers. They always manage to get into a painful constellation that prevents me from eating comfortably. EDIT: I can confirm that it's 100% no alum. I went to the store and bought my regular McCormick alum (which of course I should have done first) and it made my boil burn so hard - just like it should. While it drew no attention. I don't know what the heck it is, but it's definitely not granular alum powder as advertised. How do I know? I put it on a huge cancerous growth and it didn't sting a bit.
