Dual 2" high temperature 4Ω voice coils allow subwoofer to handle more power. High-energy Y30 motor assembly for higher output with minimal amp power. Molded polypropelyne cone with UV butyl rubber surround adds additional strength in high SPL applications. Round, reinforced dust cap adds necessary weight to the mechanical function of the woofer & keeps the cone rigid. Stamped steel basket allows for additional strength during high volume bass passages to avoid flex in the frame.

Great subwoofer for the price

I've seen a lot of reviews complaining about this speaker. I have a mbquart 10 channel 1000w mono and it sounds great. Of course, I didn't expect competitive quality from a $60 column either.

Much better options available for the same price

These woofers looked great and sounded 'good'. Of course in my application they were in a sealed box but I could never get good volume until they started to distort. Other things being equal, I swapped out the woofers for another brand and everything sounded as it should. I would give them a pass unless you have a specific use case.

Not So Good - Car Audio

I've bought MBQuart subwoofers in the past and they all sounded harsh, like booming bass. Not just this new design. Was disappointed.
