cheap but valuable.

For almost a year I suffered from pain in my arms just below and above the elbow and found that it was too much splitting of wood. Someone mentioned "tennis elbow" and I laughed because it wasn't my elbow that hurt. I started looking at assistive devices and the reviews talked about my exact symptoms. I got it two days later thanks to Premier and it changed the world. My elbow is 11.5 inches and I ordered a large one. At first I thought it was too big because it didn't constrain me the way I…

Does the job! with braces, splints and supports

Sizing information: (Elbow circumference) Sm: 8-9.5 inches, Medium: 9.5-11 inches, Lg: 11-12 inches, XL: 12- 14 inch, 10% nylon / 65% polyester / 25% rubber. Machine wash warm. Tumble dry low :) It shrinks just enough to hold my elbow tight and also keep the elbow warm. I can still bend my arm beyond 90 degrees without restriction, but with a firm feeling of support. It's a bit thicker so I wouldn't run or do anything extremely intense unless you need loads of breathability. I use it for…

Helped me recover from golf and tennis elbow with the Band-IT elbow brace.

This elbow pad helped me recover significantly from golf after playing tennis with the Band-IT Elbow Pad. First you need to choose the right size of elbow pad. I actually bought 2 of these elbow pads, 1 medium and 1 large. I used Medium when I played tennis. I also put a Band-IT elbow brace on him when I play tennis. This minimizes further injuries from playing tennis. Without the McDavid 512 elbow pad, the Band-IT Elbow became too slippery on the arm. If you overtighten the Band-IT elbow…

Should I take the medium size?

I recently developed tennis elbow due to strength training and constant wrist rotation/elbow fixation at work. I bought compression sleeves from the tails because that's all they had, but all I really needed were elbow compression sleeves (I didn't want to look like an NBA point guard). The Mcdavid compression elbow pad is just the ticket. The material is soft cotton and compared to my sleeve it doesn't irritate the inside of the elbow. I spend two hours a day in the gym and I never feel…

Pros
  • An absolute legend
Cons
  • Hard to say

It's just a sock, open at both ends. There is no special "elbow" support. As far as you know, you can wear it on calf/leg. It is not compressible enough like a compression sleeve and not strong enough for therapy. It's just an itchy tight band I brought back and am trying an adjustable bandage with a stiff insert. If you want real support and not just a show-off purchase (light black sleeve on your arm to pretend you're active), skip this one. Finally, there is only 1 case in the pack, not a…

Dislocated Elbow - Helped Recovery

About 8 months ago I dislocated my elbow very badly. I was in a splint for a while and then in a corset for 2 months which restricted my movements. I also had to go to physical therapy twice a week for 2 months. I lead a very active lifestyle and I needed a way to exercise. Weightlifting was off for 2 months so I started running as soon as my physical therapist cleared me for aerobics. I couldn't run with a brace even though my physical therapist recommended I wear one (it was bulky and heavy)…

Elbow Pain of ANY Kind Finds Its Cure

Most of my elbow pain over the past 10 years or so is due to aging and weightlifting/exercising 3 times a week. I'm not an orthopedic authority and obviously not a doctor, but I do know a thing or two about weightlifting, having done it for the last 40 years or so. At some point in life, this is a double-edged sword for most people, meaning the benefits of strength training must be weighed against the pain it causes in different parts of the body. The tendons sometimes become inflamed, or…

Best compression sleeve, order another one now.

I've had tennis and golf elbow for about 4 years, mostly on my left hand - until recently. After such a bad tendonitis in my left hand, I started compensating more with my right hand and now I have problems with my right hand (reason to order another one). I bought my first McDavid case 3 years ago and literally wore it every day. Always at work and always with any physical activity, including cleaning windows or dusting. I have washed it countless times and it has never lost its elasticity. I…
