Works great, good pressure readings

I replaced an old pressure gauge in my home water system along with a leaking pressure switch. The old pressure gauge began to read intermittently. The new one worked very well and was easy to install. The included adapter helped as the old adapter was rusted and I didn't have one at home. No leaks after I installed the gauge with the new adapter.

Pros
  • Pressure and vacuum
Cons
  • not reliable

No reading that so at all. -not correct!

Here we have a piece of junk. The system is under full pressure and cannot be read. Update: I leave the original because that's what they do when they make a mistake. The real reason the meter wasn't reading was because there was so much dirt in the adapter that it was blocking the water. I couldn't even blow it with 25psi of water pressure. After cleaning, the pressure gauge started to work properly.

Pros
  • Check, measure and check
Cons
  • Slightly torn

I have set up my system to take a reading between each of my successively thinner filters. I used 50 micron, 25 micron, then 5 micron double wring stainless steel filters. When water is actively flowing through the pipes, I can tell from the drop in pressure if the filter really needs to be replaced. I removed 1 star because 1 gauge had a 5psi calibration issue before I installed the filter media. I bought 4 identical gauges for the system specifically to prevent such a spread.

Pros
  • Gauges and vacuum gauges
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for the elderly
