I have set up my system to take a reading between each of my successively thinner filters. I used 50 micron, 25 micron, then 5 micron double wring stainless steel filters. When water is actively flowing through the pipes, I can tell from the drop in pressure if the filter really needs to be replaced. I removed 1 star because 1 gauge had a 5psi calibration issue before I installed the filter media. I bought 4 identical gauges for the system specifically to prevent such a spread.
