BAD SEWING for accessories

I bought these for my husband because I think Mechanix make good gloves (for the most part). But my husband ONLY started using them last week and the palm seam where the skin attaches to the jersey just below the wrist and along the outside of the thumb is opening up due to poor seams/stitching on the left glove. These aren't the most expensive gloves on the market, but they certainly don't come cheap either, with quality control issues like this occurring after only a few wears. Super…

Very disappointing design flaw

Very disappointing design flaw that caught my eye right away. The velcro on the bandages should be reversed, at the moment the soft side velcro is on the top of the wrist and the hard side velcro is on the strap itself, so if you have a large wrist and can't buckle the straps on the glove at all Away then a part of this hard side with velcro rubs on the wrist and makes it very fast. It's a shame because I really wanted to love these gloves but it was a deal breaker as some days I was able to…

Cheap materials, not very durable. but do they feel good and look cool?

Cheap materials, they diverge at the seams (as others wrote in their reviews). Great for agility like shooting or searching for people or objects, but they don't last long if you say you're moving boxes all day or working with tools or rough materials like wood or stone. They protected me quite well in temperatures up to 27º. . Used once to move frozen and wet material hands were cold and gloves were wet. They are also not very suitable for touching the screen. I will not buy again. You look…

So far, so good. in gloves, mittens and balaclavas

Gloves from Mechanix Wear have been part of my military gear for 25 years. The last pair I had was the Team series. I reloaded some magazines for the team and wore them for a long time, washed once and my thumb snapped. I ordered Tactical Specialty Recon to replace them. So far, so good. I've used these all summer and the gloves have held up great, work on my iPad and are amazingly cool in hot and humid conditions. My only Mechanix suggestion would be to harden the thumb area where the guys…

OK, but not for me. Suitable for gloves, mittens and liners

Mechanix made full leather driving gloves that were durable and fitted well. It was discontinued in 2013 and the replacement was never released again. My guess is that gloves designed for autocross, sports car, and motorcycle racers didn't fit the military-tactical model. On a whim, I chose the Recon, which is a mix of leather and fabric. The workmanship is high quality with a seam. I have normal hands with thin fingers and bought the large. The length fit my fingers but the thumb was too short

Good quality if you choose the right size.

Typical Mechanix fit and leather. I didn't have any issues with the glove tearing like some of the other reviews and I think that's because others got the wrong size. I carry a small one in Mechanix for reference. I put the gloves on by the loop and the gloves didn't break. Unfortunately, due to the construction of the Velcro on the buckle of the strap, it constantly rubs against the skin. This is impractical and the opposite of the 0.5mm Velcro design. All in all, the glove offered amazing…

Good price and functionality

I've read some reviews where people seem to disagree with the quality of these gloves but that's not my experience. The stitching on the pair I received was just gorgeous and I was able to wipe my phone perfectly. One thing I've noticed with Mechanis gloves in the past is that the velcro wasn't very sticky, but that seems to be a thing of the past as they are very strong when closed. I don't think there are many gloves in this segment. tactical leather gloves with touchscreen, so great value…

Pros
  • High marks for grip and durability from testers
Cons
  • Cord is shorter than other options

Good but not perfect

I have actually used them as work gloves although they are not intended for their intended purpose. When doing repairs, I've found that they're actually better than impact mitts, which are so thick I keep taking them off to get into hard-to-reach places. And of course I still get circumcised. I basically wear these labs all the time, even when I'm filling out paperwork. The weather has done a good job with scrapes, scrapes and abrasions. My only complaint is that they put the fabric on the…
