They don't have banana plugs to use as voltmeter test leads to fix my test leads. These connectors work great with a good fit and good contact in the gold plated voltmeter. But they are too expensive. You should be able to buy the right ones, say 10 for $5. I've tried the ones that used a set screw on the side. They kept screwing and one of them got a nasty hit because the screw was connected to the wire and I touched it with my finger.

I bought these banana plugs to connect a pair of Clements RT-7s to a Pioneer DX-7000 Silverface receiver. I had never used banana plugs and didn't know how they worked. Luckily there is a small sheet in the box that tells you how to install it. Did them in 10 minutes and the connections seem really strong. I bought these connectors on purpose because they work with 8-18AWG wire and I needed them to install a car subwoofer that I am using I used 8 AWG wire. Well they don't fit right, I put the wire in but many of the strands were pushed around the insulation instead of through the center conductor. I used KnuKonceptz Karma SS 8 gauge speaker wire.
