It's definitely too small for a 5 gallon Better Bottle. Only a small flange prevents it from falling. If you have a better bottle, use a larger bottle or size 10 bottle instead.

Will Not Fit Better Bottle Carboy. I bought several of these for my best bottles and they are all too small they just fall through the hole. Very upset that these are Better Bottles names.

Bought 3 in the last few months. Very happy with them and they go perfectly with my best bottles. I will most likely buy it again as I am transitioning from glass to plastic. I've been a brewer/fermenter for about 25 years now and getting too old to raise a full glass. As for the negative reviews about the number of units, read before buying. Those that don't fit the bottle either sent the wrong cork and you didn't bother to fix it, or your bottle isn't the best but has a wide neck. Negative…
