Mega Construx Inventions Wild Pack Review

My son got these for Christmas and was unable to assemble some of them due to missing parts. They were cheap so I guess you get what you pay for.

We really liked these Legos. I especially like the app that you can download that shows you step by step how to create. Legos are very small and sometimes difficult to put together, but the finished pieces look great and are solid.

Funny. Contains instructions for two creatures. The rest requires an application. But the app won't install on any of my phones, Kindle Fire or (old) iPads. The least they could do was provide a downloadable PDF to view the instructions! It's useless to my child. Don't buy this.

Nice stones, some of them very innovative. We are very happy with our purchase and have made several others from this brand. Although the packs don't come with detailed instructions for every possible project, we never skipped this part since our Little is a free building kit offered by projects anyway. Just don't build around here.

These are such interesting animals! It's hard to make and felt like my fingers hurt, but the shapes you can make with it are definitely more interesting than Lego. I took my time making the chameleon and the pieces fell apart because the joints weren't that strong. Other parts were not removed because they could not be removed even with a tool.

I ordered this set when it was on sale and at less than $10 it was a great bargain. It comes in many unusual shapes and colors, as well as some really unique connectors for attaching bricks to non-brick objects using suction cups and flexible bands. All in all, this is a fun set. However, I do complain that the quality of the dice themselves is lower than many other brands, even some of the standard dice we tried were made of higher quality plastic and held together better. This was my second set of invention cubes and while I was able to build something this time I was again missing parts. This time they were pieces that didn't show up in the final product, so I was able to replace them with other stones. Some stones were easy to connect while others felt like I needed super strength. The iPad app that comes with these bricks is a real winner. It is very easy to use and suitable for children. It lets you choose what other sets of Megaconstrux Cubes you have and then shows you a lot of really cool builds you can make by combining the sets. One of my sons has autism and Lego is like therapy for him when he's stressed or having a tough day. We bought this set along with his Lego because it was a really great price and the colors are bright and fun. We're big animal lovers too…

I bought these sets for my 5 year old to try as the bag says they are for 5+ and they do a lot were cheaper than Lego Friends, which she mostly builds herself. However, squeezing these bricks together requires a lot of pressure, which she can't do herself. An adult will have to help and your fingers will hurt. We find they hold together better than Lego bricks as they are also difficult to take apart. And you MUST take them apart as it seems the included models cannot be assembled at the same…
