Revitalize Your Marine/RV with Meguiar's M4901 Heavy Duty Oxidation Remover - 1 Gallon Review

Used with a double-sided wool pad on a DeWalt 1800rpm high-speed sander. Works amazing, worn down by years of gelcoat oxidation on the boat. Make sure you apply a coat of good quality wax paste after polishing, otherwise it will oxidize again very quickly. I think it's better and more economical than 3m. It smudges very easily. Remaining dust is simply washed off.

Combined with a high speed buffer your van will look like new again. My RV was badly oxidized due to an unknown number of years of outdoor storage prior to purchase. I've used this to remove the "ghosting" from old stickers that the sun has ruined and it looks almost as good as new. Some areas require a little effort and patience, but it's well worth the effort in the end.

I used this on a 2+ year old Jayco fifth wheel that had already started showing oxidation on the fiberglass due to the intense Arizona sun to show. I have used this with a professional porter cable buffer and it has really worked wonders. I recommend applying this at 70 to 85 degrees and just doing it piecemeal - apply and then wipe off with a microfiber cloth. I used it on my 1977 19ft SeRay. The boat was covered in chalk and the gelcoat had no reflection and rubbed off the hand. Using a 100% wool disc (very important) setting #2 on my Milwaukee fender (the variable speed dial reads 5) it took me a total of 6 hours over 2 days to buff all the exterior and interior surfaces of the gelcoat to perfection . very nice shine.
