There are better at a reasonable price

What you see in the picture is Meguiar's x2000 and The Rag Company "The Big One" towel dryer. Quality control for x2000 - ehh. Of 2 towels ordered online, 1 was straight out of the box with a torn edge. Just something to note. For about $4 you can get "The Big One" from The Rag Company. It's bigger, softer, and a bit plush or thicker. Much more absorbent than Meguiar. I'll be using "The Big One" for most of the car and finishing the floor with Meguiar's towels. - In my opinion the product is…

  • Everything is fine!

Not for dark cars!

They don't absorb as much water as fluffy towels. They basically distribute water evenly and absorb it a little. These towels are used by the guys at my dealership so I know from experience they are good enough unless you have a very dark colored car (like black or navy blue). But if your car is as black as mine you will still get visible water stains from it, I've seen them on my car after drying them. Since I've had them I've been using them to pre-dry the area and then finish off with a…

I've only used Bad Meguiar's

I love Meguiar's. I am a HUGE fan of all of their products. From the Cleaner Series to the Detailer Series. But this drying towel is terrible. It is so thin and always needs to be pressed. I dried my car after a conventional car wash and there were streaks on my paintwork. I know it was a towel because none of my other towels left scratches. The only reason it doesn't get 1 star is because it's better than bath towels, an old t-shirt, or paper towels. Seriously, do not use these products on…

I grew up with people telling me to wear suede or suede or whatever you call it. When using them, I felt that dragging across the paint only caused problems. I detail the black car, I see EVERYTHING. Switching to a waffle towel was the best thing ever. It's very soft, VERY effective, and they don't lie when they say it's a water magnet. I've already referred a few friends, they want to find it sooner too. Even the other participants can't get the waffle towel right. This is important because I…

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • I don't really like it, it's ok

Go to SKIM-Thin - keep looking.

Reject all those 5 star reviews - you are reading a text from someone who has tried many of them and is also a Meguiar fan - even a while ago and almost one of their detailing lessons uses only Meguiar products. My guess is that all of these rave reviews are half from users who haven't compared or compared to other cheap towels, and half from users who haven't come across the "waffle weave - microfiber" dryer towel before. The fact is this towel is very thin compared to what is available and…

Pros
  • This is great
