They are 1/2 inch wide and won't fit in my stapler. I got carried away trying to find the right size and ended up in a click storm that resulted in me getting the wrong item at the wrong price. When I discovered the error, the staples were everywhere. Lesson learned: One bad click has consequences.

Brackets arrived looking like they had gone through a cement mixer en route. The box was torn open and the staples were broken into hundreds of small pieces. No wonder given the flimsy packaging that was used. I asked for an exchange and the replacement came even worse than the first batch. You cannot use small staples in a stapler. FYI, the staples are very soft metal and the few I was able to use bent without penetrating the wood.
