Melissa & Doug vs Kids Kraft

We bought both for our 2 year old to compare. We returned the kids crafter because it was a bit smaller (narrow) and the back of the chair was angled. We liked Melissa & Doug's height better and the fact that she had a straight back and fit her bed better. The only downsides with our Melissa & Doug stool was a small paint issue and it had silver screws (kids crafts had white ones) but overall the M&D was the best choice for us. I just wish it was a little cheaper but it looks really cute in her

Big enough for toddler potty training

I was looking for a chair big enough for my little one to stand on the toilet by herself as all other potty chairs only seem to be 5 to 7 inches big. It definitely does the trick. Cons: It took a little longer than expected to assemble, but it's very sturdy. A bit heavy, some children find it difficult to move between the potty and the sink on their own. The surface is also a bit slippery - I could buy some bathtub non-slip adhesive to help with that. When I bought this product it cost around…

Love the strength

We just moved my almost 3 year old daughter to a double bed and her stool we used in the bathroom just didn't fit. I saw and understood it for a long time. I like that the back of the stool is straight so it hugs her bed. It also weighs 11 pounds so I don't see her being able to easily move it to other parts of the house, which is exactly what I wanted. I love that it's not just screws holding it together, but that each piece has notches for a more secure fit. I have no doubt it would hold up…

Durable and beautiful color

My husband bought this for me to climb into bed (the new bed is too high for me lol). It is really easy and quick to assemble. And suddenly we realized that this stool is actually for kids! It was our fault for not reading the description properly when ordering. We wanted to return the stool in the first place as the maximum load is 100lbs. But surprisingly, it works very well and is incredibly durable! I've used it to climb into bed and reach tall drawers and luckily it never broke! FYI I am…

NOT WOODEN Stool - Step Stools

I don't know how you can call it a "wood" stool. It's not made of wood. I was so disappointed to find that all the parts were made from low density chipboard and covered in cheap veneer. When reassembling, a whole screw went through the pre-drilled hole and a piece fell off. The edges of the hole that the screw went through looked like torn cardboard. This is a very poor quality material. I thought I might have missed something when I ordered but everywhere in the description it says this is a…

Press plate, no natural wood

As long as the stool works as intended; Step stool for children. Perfect for reaching the sink to wash your hands or "helping" mom cook. However, I am very disappointed that this item is made of pressed cardboard and not natural wood. If I had known, I would not have ordered it, especially for $33. I've spent a lot of time looking on Amazon for a stool that's both wood and big enough for my kid to reach the sink and counter. I like Doug and Melissa's products because they tend to use more wood…
