Melissa & Doug Wooden Animal Stacking Cars (Pack of 3) - First Play Series Review

Despite the fact that the packaging says from 9 months, I bought it for a one year old. They are great for working on motor skills, color recognition and learning to fold. Very strong thick wood material this nonsense makes long lasting toys I have no doubt these machines are somehow different.

They are perfect for my 16 month old baby! They feel solid, he can roll them or fold them, and he likes to do both. I'm really worried the wheels will come off and become a choking hazard (he can put them all the way in his mouth) until that happens and I just watch him closer with them and try to teach him not to put them in his mouth put . These machines are perfect for my 10 months. They're lightweight, which is great because they're easy to move around without tipping over. They are the perfect size for his little hands to move. Their stacking feature is great for on-shelf storage, but not great for play when stacked. I recommend them to anyone looking for cheap wooden cars for their little ones.

We sent our grandson an Easter basket early and he opened it early. Our daughter says that of all the treats, toys and candy in the box, this is the one she plays with the most. He always carries it with him and just loves it! In these so sad times we are happy to know that thanks to your fabulous toy we have made a little boy very happy. It is colorful and fits perfectly in children's hands.

Meh. It's not great. Like other reviewers, mine had a few nicks, but that didn't bother me too much as I expected it based on previous reviews. What worries me is that the plastic wheels are pretty flimsy and the cars don't move well despite our wooden floors. My son who is 11 months old now plays with it randomly and doesn't show much inclination to it. Maybe that will change over time.

Overall a great product. Very durable and cute design. They fold well and roll up great. They are the perfect size for my 7 month old and I am not afraid of small parts in my mouth (the wheels are attached very well). It took a while to get it out without hurting her, but I think it might have been an accident because it hasn't happened since.

Had the item arrived in NEW condition it probably would have been great but as you can see from the photos it looked like it was used for a few weeks then sent back. There were deep dents in the wood and all the plastic wheels had white scuff marks where the plastic was bent. I understand that this rating is not a fair representation of whether a product is satisfactory, but unfortunately someone has fallen asleep at the wheel when it comes to quality control of returned items.
