Durable and absolutely tasteless

I like the Melitta Natural Brown #4 cone filters because they are durable and add no flavor to the coffee. I use a brew coffee maker and like to stir the slurry to get the full flavor out of the grounds. Less durable filters often break when subjected to shock, which is definitely first-rate crap! These filters will not disappoint you!

Pros
  • Parts and accessories for coffee and espresso machines
Cons
  • No performance

Only coffee filters I've been using for years

Being a kind of "coffee snob" (buy organic beans, mostly of the same origin, and then weigh and grind each morning, etc.).i.e., brew in a "real coffee maker" - Technivorm), maybe it's my imagination, but I think I can feel a slight aftertaste of bleach when using white filters. I started buying them a few years ago and see no reason to change them.

Pros
  • Disposable filter
Cons
  • Cord is shorter than others

Too thick for finely ground coffee

Tried these filters but had to put them in the dispenser. The problem was that my coffee maker makes up to 14 cups. Of course they say they are for 12 cups but. For 14 cups, I use 2/3 cup of ground coffee. These filters are so thick that when using that much finely ground coffee, the brewed coffee doesn't filter through them fast enough to keep up with the coffee maker. When we buy ground coffee, we don't know if it's a medium or fine grind. When I used fine ground coffee, it overflowed and…
