Men'S Classic Daddy-O Polo Shirt By Original Penguin Review

my husband loved this shirt. it fit extremely well. Only one problem. he tried it on out of the package and put it right into his suitcase for vacation. He did not put it back on until we went to dinner one evening. I noticed it had a sewing defect on the button flap. To late, he already threw out the tags and was wearing it. Next time I will be more vigilant about inspecting items from this manufacturer.

I've purchased Daddy-O shirts before, off the rack in department stores. Love 'em. Wear the heck out of 'em. But this isn't the same shirt Macy's sells. The collar is weird, and the body is a tent. It's not a slim fit at all. If you're chubby, you'll probably like the fit. But if you're a trendy gay guy who wants to show off your gym body, this ain't your shirt, Mary!

Nice shirt but it stretches out really easy. The material is too thin and has too much give. Halfway through the day the shirt is flapping around cause it stretched out so much. Too bad.

I purchased the Daddy-O polo, along with another polo shirt. This shirt doesn't fit as well as the other polo because it follows the "Classic Fit" as opposed to the "Heritage Slim Fit," but it is just a slight personal preference. The material is comfortable, durable & the color has stayed vibrant & true.They arrived promptly, in their professional packaging & in excellent condition. I am thoroughly satisfied with my purchase.

Great fit, great look, I am about six foot one and 211LB and this was the way to go, extra large. Like it much better than traditional polo shirts.

Fits perfectly & the material is soft & comfortable but also holds its form. I've never owned better polo shirts than Penguin brand.

Very comfortable retro shirt. Fits well and is easy to launder. Color is a little odd in that there is white mixed in with the red, creating sort of a salt and pepper ( red ) look.

Trust this brand everytime. Great color, great material, perfect sizing. Husband wears 2xl, this shirt in 2xl was perfect, very long to cover all! Beautiful blue.

T shirt has very soft fabric and it fits perfectly even after washing. It's a true large and didn't shrink much even after washing. Love the shirt and the color is as pictured and just awesome!

Husband has many Penguin brand, they always hold up well. Color is a nice blue. Classic fit order in normal size. If it's "modern fit", order size up.

Shirt fits larger than expected I'm 6ft 264lbs so I need larger shirts but this one larger than I was expecting. Haven't worn it yet just tried it on maybe it will shrink some.

Looked nice on initial wear, but as can be expected with a cotton shirt it shrunk a little. Collar kind of funky. The shirt may not fit well on all body types.

Im a big guy, so i try to avoid getting any slim fitting shirts. This shirt is labeled as heritage fit. Apparently heritage means super freakin SMALL. shirt fits like a lg or medium. thing is TINY! too bad. material and design is pretty sweet

First of all, I paid $55 for this polo shirt because I desperately needed it for something at work, and at the time of this writing it's only $33. BS.The shirt is just as good as any Daddy-O polo from Penguin. The "classic fit" is best for those of us who actually have a torso and arms, unlike most of their "slim fit" shirts.I don't know what it is about this black shirt vs. the other colors, but it is an unbelievable lint magnet. I'm a fan of the classic fit shirts much more than slim or athletic fits, and this manages the classic fit perfectly. I've always been a fan of the Penguin brand. Sometimes they're a little expensive but ultimately worth it. The Deep Lake color is really nice, too. Too bad I lost this to an ex. guess that means I'll have to buy another!

I wear a large in every other 'polo', and this brand appears to run a tad small. You may want to order one size up for a proper fit. Other than the sizing issue it appears to be a decent product.** Edit 3/29/13 **Current Revain pricing for this polo in most sizes and colors is msrp @ $55 ea. I paid close to half of that in Oct. 2012. Check out the U.S. Polo Assn. Men's Solid Polo With Small Pony for an alternative. They run true to size and are a fraction of the cost ($20).

This was a bday gift for my husband and he loves it. Says it is very soft and light weight. Fit is true to size. Caviar is black, just in case you're concerned of color name.

My husband is a big man and this shirt fits great. Not snug, long enough, but not too huge. Very soft & comfortable fabric.

After one wash the seam on one of the sleeves has come apart and now has noticeable a hole. Disappointing for a "premium brand" shirt. Good looking shirt besides the poor quality on the one I received.I expect more from a $55 shirt.
