Great Boots at a Great Price

The Thinsulate liners were worth the price. My old snow packs that I bought 30 years ago in Maine finally had given up their usefulness. When I looked for new liners, I couldn't find any in my size for a reasonable price. This pair of boots showed up as an alternative and was several dollars cheaper than liners for my old set. We live in FL most of the winter and only get trapped by a rare snowstorm in VA so I don't need an expensive pair of boots to work in every day of the winter. For the 5-6

Pros
  • Breathable fabric prevents sweating and discomfort
Cons
  • They have poor traction on rocky or uneven terrain

Great boots for cold and snow

After 20 years in Richmond, where it doesn't stay cold and my condo took care of snow removal, I moved to MD this year and now I have to shovel my own snow. I got these and they are great! They keep my feet warm and dry. It's been in the low teens here and I was just wearing cotton low cut socks and my feet were plenty toasty after 30 minutes of shoveling.I'd bet that with proper winter socks these would still be great even for people who are outside for work or for long periods of time. The…

Pros
  • Durable construction ensures long-lasting use
Cons
  • The boots require frequent re-waterproofing, which can be time-consuming

Very warm and waterproof.

I work all winter at a golf course so I meet a lot of different weather. Snow, ice, rain, etc. Boots are warm and waterproof in my findings so far. Only thing I've got to say negatively is that they are a little on the heavy side.

Pros
  • Resistant to scuffs and scratches
Cons
  • They have poor flexibility in the ankle area

Humongous! good for me

Massive boot. Pretty comparable to the Sorel Carribou II Boot, but the liner and boot run much bigger. I returned them so I can't comment on performance, but they seemed comfy and warm. I ended up with the Sorel version, and paid twice as much. The Sorel version seems like it was a bit lighter, though both are pretty heavy.

Pros
  • Versatile enough to wear in any weather conditions
Cons
  • They may not provide enough warmth for people in cold regions

Jeff Bezos hits a home run ---again!

I have a pair of high-end Sorel Caribou boots (ehrrr- -"had"?- - I can't find them - -maybe my dog ate them). They're an OK boot- - but frankly didn't hold true to their rated "warmth" comfort range - -at least for me. Not being able to find them was perhaps fortuitous. With the upcoming Wisconsin winter, I looked for a replacement boot. And "voila," Ebay, holding true to Jeff Bezo's credo of value, quality and speedy delivery comes through with flying colors with this…

Pros

Cons
  • The soles of the boots may slip on wet or slick surfaces

We purchased the Northside Men's Boots for a trip to see the World Cup bobsled races in Park City Utah. The temperature ranged between -6 degrees and 7 degrees the four days we were there and snowing the entire time. We spent several hours on the mountain watching bobsled races. The boots fit perfectly, stayed dry the entire time and kept my feet comfortable and warm. We walked up and down the mountain many times over two days and the boots stayed comfortable the entire time. I would recommend…

It's a mediocre product.

My foot fits fine after I get my foot in. It is super small around the ankle part, and it takes some doing to get my instep past that part. After you have them on for a while you start to notice all the structures in the sole that feel like the pattern you would find on a waffle. rather irritating because the ankle part is too small and you can't add another insole to eliminate that irregularity. I'll never buy anything made by that outfit again.

Pros
  • Shoes
Cons
  • The laces do not stay tied properly and may come undone frequently

A nearly perfect Sorrel imitation

For the price hard to beat. A nearly perfect Sorrel imitation, except that they are VERY VERY heavy. I swear my ski boots are lighter. So definitely do not buy these with the intention of going on long strolls or hikes. Also, as others have stated, these boot run HUGE, the toe box is way too big, my foot swims in it. I ordered brown based on the picture, but the actual color is more of an olive green, the picture looks nothing like the color. It remains to be seen how they handle the cold, will

Pros
  • Keeps feet warm in cold temperatures
Cons
  • The boots can cause blisters or hotspots on the heel after extended use

Good Purchase best in my review

Good boots, but really quite heavy. I needed them in a 9.5 and ordered the 10. They were OK, a bit large. The lining made it super soft and snuggly inside. In fact, someone else in the house tried them on and was like wow--pillows. Downside, as I mentioned, is they are super heavy so could not be used all day as you would just get tired of lugging them around. I plan on allowing the liners to dry out overnight if they get wet so I am glad they are removable. No snow in the Northeast yet so…

Pros
  • mens
Cons
  • The boots are expensive, making them unaffordable for some consumers

Soft and comfortable, but heavy

Have not worn them in winter conditions yet, but my first impression is that these run big. I guess extra thick socks or two pairs would help. The lining feels soft and warm. These are also quite heavy, which I guess as work boots is a good thing, but if you are planning on using them to walk around a lot (or hike) then I think they will be too heavy for this use. Aside from all this, the price was good and I hope that they hold up to the challenge when I finally get the chance to wear them.

Pros
  • Allows for greater stability on uneven ground
Cons
  • The boots may be difficult to find in store, limiting accessibility

Would've been nice boots if they'd fit

I wear a size 11.5, so I tried these in both size 11 and size 12. Size 11 was just too small, with the toe of the boot cramping my toes. Size 12, unfortunately, was just too big, with too much extra room in the toe, even when wearing my thickest wool socks.Aside from sizing issues, I really liked these boots, and I think they would've been great for the winters we get here. My advice: Make sure you either a) try these on at a store first, or b) make sure your Ebay order comes with free returns…

Pros
  • Provides excellent arch support
Cons
  • The boots may not be suitable for people with high arches

They keep my feet SUPER WARM and it's amazing

I bought these in 2012 while I was in South Korea. They keep my feet SUPER WARM and it's amazing. My only problem is I bought them a size too large. That was the first time I was in a place where it gets SUPER cold so I was not savvy on what size shoes to buy. Regardless, they get the job done and I love them!

Pros
  • Provides superior traction on wet surfaces
Cons
  • The boots are not very comfortable for people with wide or flat feet

Wear long socks while wearing the boots.

The boot is comfortable for the most part, and warm. I decided to wear them yesterday while I was out and about and it was beginning to snow, just to see. The first thing I noticed is that, you should 100% wear long socks while wearing this boot, The socks I had on yesterday were ankle socks, and the stitching on the inside of the boot was poking at my leg/ankle. While it didn't hurt, it was extremely annoying. Today however, I wore some long warm socks with the boots on, and everything is…

Best Snow PAC Boots Ever!

If you apply beeswax snow proof to the leather uppers this will soak in and prevent them from soaking in water and make the leather very durable. Use blow a dryer to warm the leather and rub in beeswax. You will notice it soaks in and can put more until fully saturated. This puts the boot at the top line. Thanks for the best PAC boot available!

Pros
  • Provides excellent support for ankle and foot
Cons
  • The boots tend to scuff and scratch easily

Sizes run quite large

I wear a 9.5 and ordered a 9.5 and the boots are marked 9.5 but fit as if they are a size or two biggerOn the positive side they are great quality very warm gray traction they are a heavy boot

Pros
  • I was sent The Incorrect size
Cons
  • The seams of the boots can easily tear or rip after a few uses

Extremely Warm but heavy and wide

Th reviews were dead on about the heavy weight of these boots. If you had to run a 100yd dash in these lunkers you could use a sun dial. They were very wide as well. However, for the price of $25 they cannot be beat. Was outside snow blowing in 12 degree temps for an hour and they were exceptionally warm. Easy removal of the felt pack too.

Pros
  • Reduces foot fatigue with cushioned sole
Cons
  • The boots do not provide adequate protection against snake bites
