I bought this apron simply because it looks very manly compared to others I've seen and I bought it for my husband. In no way do I think a man should look feminine wearing an apron, so I think this has been a good buy so far. To add, I got his seal of approval for style when he got it and he's happy with it. I am very happy with the apron, it does exactly what I expected. It's essentially made, more importantly with the shoulder straps and padding (a nice touch btw), it doesn't tug on my neck all day. Now I can put hand tools in my pockets without feeling uncomfortable while working. This material is heavy enough to carry things in your pockets without fear of ripping them out.
