After purchase, it looks as if the design could have been thought through a little better. It would make more sense if the sharpener were in the cat's mouth and the shavings fell out from behind instead of out of the stomach. Also, I get that awkward feeling when you stick a pen up a cat's butt. The meowing is a bit annoying. But it's weird for my high school students, so definitely worth buying

Lots of laughs with this gift. My boyfriend and daughter received them on the same day - one in Atlanta, one in Portland, Oregon. My daughter came without a job. Her husband discovered it contained two tiny batteries that needed to be replaced. He's trying to find her. I worry that what he thinks are batteries might actually contain sounds. I want the seller to reply. I paid more for shipping than the unit itself cost.

After a month of waiting I was so excited when this item arrived. Then came a great bowl of sadness as the sound this item was making was broken, broken, intermittent psycho-babble. Mine didn't meow. It was pretty obvious that the chip or the switch or whatever was making this kitten talk had a problem. So I gathered my sadness and contacted Hamdis from whom I received it. As always, their customer service has been GREAT! I explained the problem with the product and received a full refund. This
