Good durable materials, excellent grip, excellent design, the inside is very smooth without many seams and edges compared to other shoes, so it is more comfortable. The description says "waterproof" but there is a mesh on the surface. Not very waterproof in my opinion, maybe more water resistant? Easy on and off, good. Didn't know it means you can't tighten your shoes. It's stretchy like you see on popular water shoes, except you can't adjust it. I'll try the laces. The sides are higher than previous Merrills and chafe at the ankle even though this is my first kid shoe. Arches don't really support. Wouldn't buy again.

I was so excited to buy Merrell shoes like mine as I have owned them for years. They are cute and fit well. However, after a few weeks the rubber on the front toe started to fall off. I don't expect them to last years but at least a few months. Also, I didn't like that the blue and yellow were advertised as girls' shoes. I bought it for my son and as far as I know he is still a boy.

Ever since Stride Rite went out of business it has been very difficult to find wide shoes for children. Your M2P was NEVER wide enough. This roomy cut (any color really suits my kid) has been a hit for the last 3 years. We really appreciate that there is Velcro instead of laces. Overall great shoes. Our last ones lasted until he outgrew them, which I hope.

Bought a few days before my daughter's camp in the Highlands near Austin. They fit perfectly and she said they are comfortable.

Very durable. My daughter loves her. You are cozy. This was her third time wearing them. She walked through muddy puddles and didn't flow. I bought them a few weeks later for our trip to the Ozarks and they are worth it. Definitely recommend. My daughter is 7 years old and wears a 12 or 13 depending on her shoe size. I bought her a size 13 as she is a growing girl. She has narrow legs like her mother. Fits perfectly.

I bought these for my very active son who runs in the rain or sun at school. They're 75% drier than regular shoes, but they're not waterproof. No puddles, just walking on grass in the rain. Wears 12.5, ordered 13, fits just right.

We live in PNW so waterproof shoes are essential in the fall and winter. I bought these and a pair of Colombian ones (presumably waterproof). After a day of kindergarten, my son came home with wet socks and waterproof Columbia hiking boots. but the Merrells are dry after a few days of rain. Will definitely buy another pair when she outgrows it.

I bought these shoes for my 10 year old. I'm a big fan of the brand but these shoes are very heavy compared to mine. My kid doesn't want to carry them because they are so heavy. I would look for another brand for that.

These shoes are my daughter's new favorite sneaker and she doesn't take her shoes lightly. We love hiking as a family so we are very happy that they are great on the trails and also just driving around. They are not waterproof if you get caught in a large puddle or stream, but they will withstand leaks from small puddles and light rain. Anything that can get caught in a shoe collar will naturally get wet. But they dry FAST - faster than my trail runners! Great shoes, we would buy again!

They look good and our very active 10 year old loves the Merrell shoes which fit best. But as others have said, they just aren't as good as the price suggests. His legs are growing so fast right now that it probably doesn't matter, but Merrell needs to control their quality or drop prices.

My daughter loves these shoes very much. She just goes to school every day. It really works for rainy weather like here. I don't have to worry about getting wet or slippery.

I got them for my 5 years. old. He is picky about shoes and they are not as good as I expected for the price. He loves them and says they are comfortable they don't hurt his feet but some of them are starting to fall apart and it's only been 2 months. I think these are good shoes but they don't last long enough for the price.

My 5 year old is very picky about shoes. She wants nice shimmery ones in the store but wears them off in just a month. I bought this shoe hoping it would last a little longer than your previous pair. They still only managed about 3 months before she had holes in her toes and the velcro was almost worn out. However, they ended up saving me about $10 compared to cheaper shoes. I just wish they made steel toe shoes for kids. ;)

These shoes are perfect for my 8 year old son. We have bought these in the smaller size and have always been satisfied. The shoes are well made and last as long as they fit.

We have two children who walk on the wet grass every morning. This pair of shoes is absolutely NOT waterproof compared to several other shoes kids have worn on the same trail for years. But otherwise the shoes are ok.

Great shoes! My daughter went hiking with them a lot this summer. They worked, they were comfortable and they dried quickly.

These were bought primarily for a family vacation in Alaska. They worked great. My daughter's feet stayed dry even when she stepped in puddles. She didn't keep her feet underwater on purpose, so her feet stayed dry. They also had excellent traction in slippery areas. They worked great.

Great sturdy shoes but my daughter got them wet and they smelled like dead meat in the car. It was great! They have only been worn a few times so far. Not sure what caused it but other than that the shoes are amazing!
