Endure my judgment: my evaluation

These shoes are well made and have held up very well so far after being pushed to the limit both outdoors and indoors by my exuberant 4 year old.

Pros
  • A very good quality. Must be worn before walking. Pretty hard at first.
Cons
  • Shoes may not be suitable for children who require additional padding.

Comfortable! ... good for me

Bought for my wife, she has small feet. Her rating: They fit perfectly, I can wear thick socks with them, they are easy to put on and they have plenty of lace left for a double knot. I put them on for a game of disc golf on a nice wooded course - no problem. They are comfortable, don't slip, don't hurt, look forward to wearing them on longer hikes.

Pros
  • son loves her.
Cons
  • Shoes may not be suitable for children who require additional support.

I love Merrells in my review

I've been buying Merrells for many years, a friend had foot problems and I want him to try the Merrells and he's not 100% but much better since he put them on.

Pros
  • Pair of Trabajos
Cons
  • Shoes may not be suitable for children who require extra stability.

Good hiking shoes for beginners

I'm a women's size 6.5 and ordered it in a 5.5 I think. Fits me perfectly but I slipped twice while hiking in the mountains of Nepal so I'll say the grip is 85 out of 100 and it's waterproof which I really like. Also, do not tie the laces too tightly as the metal part may bend.

Pros
  • It's ok but not like the adult version. The sole is not vibram, the sole feels soft.
Cons
  • Shoes may not be appropriate for children with developmental delays.

Comfortable waterproof shoes, size

My 11 year old scout needed 7 wide waterproof walking shoes which are hard to find as boys sizes usually end with 6 and mens sizes start with 8. So I was thrilled to find these sizes in between. . The quality is excellent and my son says they are comfortable from the start. No break-in period required. He wore them on a 9 mile camping trip and didn't even get a single blister. He said they were great and kept his feet dry. We'll see how long they last, but so far so good!

Pros
  • import. Measurements: Weight: 10 oz Measurements were taken using a size 13 Little Kid, width M. Please note that measurements may vary depending on size. The weight of the shoes is per piece, not per pair.
Cons
  • New competition arrived

As expected

We bought these for our daughter for a recent hike. Unfortunately, the only option we could find in their size that looked like tough hiking boots was a brown color for boys. She didn't pay attention to the color at all. We chose size 11 for our 4.5 year old and they fit the growth well. They had great toe traction which helped her when climbing rocks. She splashed in the puddles and said her feet stayed dry. My only concern is that the laces feel flimsy and stretch a bit when we tie them…

Pros
  • Faux leather sole
Cons
  • Only available in white

Great shoe

My son needed size 6 hiking boots for his week at scout camp, which are hard to find in stores. He tried on a pair of Merrell low trainers at a local store and they fit perfectly so I bought them from Revain. He wore them on a walk around the block before they were packed into his leg box, and he wore them every day at camp. He was thrilled that they were waterproof - last night there had been a heavy downpour at the camp with a tornado warning (one of them landed 20 miles from the camp) and…

Pros
  • The non-marking M Select Grip™ outsole provides excellent traction on a variety of surfaces.
Cons
  • Something different
