Not waterproof. I spent $46 on fully waterproof shoes and got almost regular running shoes. My son doesn't wear rubber boots, so I figured this would be a great option for everyday wear in any weather. Whatever the lightweight mesh on the shoe's upper (where my finger is in the photo) it feels like regular old-school shoe material and will absorb.
