The holder on the first pair had already ripped off, so I went back and ordered a replacement. My 7 year old wore a new pair to church and had the same issue. Nice looking blue and neon green sandals. Ideal for a quick dip in the water and to take off your sandals. Not great as an active running shoe, foot slips and slides in, wear layers of socks to fill out. The only adjustment strap is at the top. Permanently elasticated on the rest of the upper, there is no way to adjust the tension or loosen these elastic straps. I know Keen Shoes is a competitor here. We own many Merrell & Keen products.
