We have bought every brand in the world and our boys seem to be either too picky about shoes or the quality of most kids shoes is rubbish. (I have a feeling it's the latter.) This is the only shoe that doesn't come apart at every seam. Their construction seems to be significantly better than Under Armour, Nike, Ascics, Reebok etc. Highly recommended!

He says they are comfortable. The Velcro is divided twice on the strap to fix the shoes. Tried to sew and glue back. None of them worked. The strap holds the shoes in place, so there are no shoes now.

These shoes were delivered on September 8th. broke on October 21. I figured a good brand like this would last better. Basically, they were only worn to school and shopping, not for hiking and other things! So disappointing.

My kids are very picky about shoes, but regular sneakers don't help when hiking. They really love it! My son prefers these to his sneakers!

The protector wears well, which says a lot for my child. The downside is that my husband had to apply shoe glue to the toe where the rubber and material meet. He had to do this with both Merrell shoes for both boys. They say it's easy to fix.

The shoes fit well and looked good but didn't last at all. My son wore them for normal activities (school, hanging out with friends) - not sports and he has worn down the part that lines the insole under the heel. I was very surprised as Merrell is a well made brand in general.

I bought these shoes for my grandson and they didn't last long at all as you can see from the photos. He wore them for 2 months and this is what is left of the sneakers after such a short time.

Dad of 2 boys (8 and 6) and we burn through shoes easily. These shoes have proven to be extremely durable for my two kids who are constantly outside. They easily lasted 2-3 times longer than random brands for half the cost but when added up they are cheaper as I don't buy 3 pairs a year. Highly recommend these.

I liked it for my daughter because she pays hard. These shoes have kept up with her and I'm impressed. Even walked through mud and came out clean. Two thumbs up!

I bought them and a pair of lace up shoes from another brand that we know. My 8 year old wears this shoe more than others and seems very happy with it. I chose Merrell as they seemed to be a very solid brand and we all know younger kids. You rip your shoes! It has held up very well compared to the NBs I used to get. I will order a different size for next year.

I used to trust the Merrell brand. No longer. Train within a few months after paying the premium price. And the children turned over their shoes! These just failed. The velcro is missing, the laces are broken, the sole is worn.

Perfect shoes for everyday school life. Convenient for physical education, recreation and light hiking. Merrell doesn't disappoint - beautiful colours, great price and relevance throughout the season.

My son is getting used to it. They are stronger than the old sneakers he used to wear. I like them and I hope they will be better for him as I think they have a lot of support and he was complaining about pain in his feet I think because of his different shoes.

My son has been wearing these shoes for a little over 2 months and they have completely fallen apart. The toe of one of his boots is gone, his toes sticking out. I have never experienced anything like this with any of my children's shoes.

It was important to me to find comfortable shoes for my grandson that offer good support and a wide width. No one should squeeze their feet into shoes, especially a child.

I bought a pair for a trip to Oregon for my 6 year old. We walked a lot and these shoes were great. I would say the downside is that they are a bit difficult to put on. I hope they get more wear before their legs grow. It was great value for money.
