    Type of review

I chose these because I love Merrell hiking shoes. I needed shoes that were suitable for light hiking and would allow me to drive a manual car without changing my shoes. I've done a few short hikes and have been very happy with the way they feel both on the hike and out and back. I don't have the best ankles and although they are very low they have good ankle support. They are 100% Merrell size. So if you have another pair of Merrell, just go for your normal size!

    Pros
    • These are the shoes I keep buying.
    Cons
    • I wanted minimalist, "bare" shoes. The arches are huge. And the shoes are too much for me.

I LOVE THESE SHOES - my new review

PERFECT for me and I love Merrell products. From time to time I get quality shoes that I believe will last me a decent amount of time.

    Pros
    • Superior hold
    Cons
    • The toe box may be too tight, which may cause discomfort or pain during long hikes or walks.

    feel and look great

used for outdoor training / rhythmic gymnastics? great for trail running, squats and even tree climbing. The feel is amazing and the supportive sole really helps make it feel barefoot. Minimalist feel.

    Pros
    • The best shoes ever! Fit, width, everything is fine!
    Cons
    • The black color scratches easily and quickly shows signs of wear.

    Impressively! ....!!: My review

Great fit. If you have never worn such shoes before, there is an adjustment period. I use shoes for lifting and gymnastics. The low profile reduces ankle twisting.

    Pros
    • This new design fits a little better than the old design. Looks a little bigger on the foot.
    Cons
    • After a few workouts at the gym, they start to diverge in the forefoot. Not what I expected from an $80 shoe.

    Not "barefoot " at all

This shoe is not "barefoot". The feeling is terrible when you have flat feet, which is probably why you would try them first. So much arch support it feels like stepping on pebbles.

    Pros
    • Poll annoys me more
    Cons
    • Arch of foot too high, shoe size too big

    High vault my rating

This version of the trail gloves fits. I've been running Merrells for a few years now and really liked version 4. This version has an extremely high arch, which I'm not used to at all. Back to version 4.

    Pros
    • Durable Design: The materials used in the construction of this shoe are high quality and durable, so it will last, even with heavy use.
    Cons
    • Shoes may not be as breathable as other hiking shoes, which can cause your feet to sweat excessively.

    Comfortable! - my new rating

Really comfortable and fits my foot better than other shoes with a large instep. Was a bit big but shrunk in size and they were great. Good price compared to overpriced cheap Nike shoes.

    Pros
    • Very comfortable with good arch support.
    Cons
    • The size may be small or narrow, causing discomfort or blisters.

Order half a size larger than usual

Shoe sizes vary greatly. I usually wear US shoe size 8.5. It didn't fit. I ordered 9 and it was very comfortable. Excellent support: The shoe provides excellent arch support, which helps to reduce the risk of injury and provides additional comfort!

    Pros
    • Excellent Support: The shoe offers excellent arch support to reduce the risk of injury and provide extra comfort.
    Cons
    • Shoes may not be suitable for those with wide feet, which may cause discomfort or pain when wearing them.

    Endurance - my opinion

One star off for durability. I had an old trail glove that lasted over 6 years of daily use. They deflate near the ball of the foot after 1 year. Still last longer than most shoes so I'll buy them again but still disappointed.

    Pros
    • Great shoes! i really love it They fit like a glove.
    Cons
    • Shoes may not be as durable as other hiking shoe options on the market.

There is arch support, how is it "gloved " or "barefoot "?

The very high arch support makes the shoe uncomfortable, I don't understand how it's sold as a gloved or barefoot shoe. Feels like normal shoes 👎

    Pros
    • How
    Cons
    • A lack of impregnation can lead to wet feet in wet weather.

Use them for running and have never broken them and have had no pain or blisters on my feet. I love these shoes and don't think I will ever be without a pair again.

    Pros
    • Great fit, good hold. However, I had to stop wearing barefoot shoes because my feet were too hard compared to the ground.
    Cons
    • Bajo mucho la calidad

    stylish, light, good fit

I can't say anything negative about these sneakers. my husband likes them. The fit is great, very light and he needs something that doesn't scream colors. sit like a glove...

    Pros
    • I really like these shoes!
    Cons
    • Surprised that the Merrill product was so poorly designed

Barefoot? In my rating there is nothing better

I am up 13 hours a day when I work. I'm a barefoot fanatic. However, these shoes are not "barefoot sandals". The level of arch support in them is low. It feels like someone put a large piece of plasticine under the tops of your feet after putting on real sandals. While I think they would be good for hiking loose gravel, they don't feel as free as some of the others. They have pretty thick soles.

    Pros
    • Stylish Design: The black color of this shoe gives it a sleek and stylish look that is perfect for both outdoor activities and everyday wear.
    Cons
    • The design may not suit people looking for a more stylish or versatile outdoor shoe.

    Superior fit and arch support

Superior arch support. Fits my leg like it was made for her. Reminds me of the fit of a Berkenstock cork insole. Size 8 fits like my chameleon size 8s. I was happy to get the black version instead of the splattered gray as in the photo. I thought the black version was already sold out.

    Pros
    • Merrell Barefoot 2 construction for improved proprioception and stability through multiple movements
    Cons
    • Upgrades available

    Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great lightweight shoe for outdoor and indoor use.

As this is my 2nd pair no details needed, they are very comfortable but every foot is different and shoes are bought and worn for different reasons, sometimes not for the intended purpose of those shoes. I make a living from fine arts and use this brand for that purpose, as well as for outdoor walks and outings. So if I had to find a problem with them, I'd say the mesh lets sand or solids through more easily than I'd personally like, but that goes to the extent of my "issues" with this shoe and

    Pros
    • Compared to the Trail Glove 4, they are half a size larger. If you're looking for a model similar to our previous version, we recommend ordering half a size down from your usual size.
    Cons
    • No instructions

    Revainrating 2 out of 5

    Great shoes. good for running

I tried several other brands before returning to Merrells. I've had many pairs of hiking boots but this was the first time I've been barefoot in them. They fit great and have plenty of room in the toe box. Can be a little thick for a real barefoot feel but that's ok.

    Pros
    • Mesh and TPU upper and traditional lace closure
    Cons
    • poorly thought out

    Vibrum sole sandals

Took a whole day to adapt to the shoe "barefoot" Very comfortable and secure grip Fears have decreased, this shoe is really good on all Types of terrain - pavement, dirt, rocky paths. My new favorite for the daily dog walk - true to size. I will look for another pair - try.

    Pros
    • Hyperlock TPU film heel counter for safety
    Cons
    • Angry

Not even close to Trail Glove 4, time for a new brand!

I must have ordered the Merrell Trail 4 glove 10 times, it lasted a good 4-5 months at 80-100 km a month. And fits perfectly with just enough barefoot and grip. Unfortunately, this series is no longer available. So I bought the Trail Glove 5 even though I saw the bad reviews and knew they might be a little different. Well they were just as disappointing as the other reviews said, so disappointing. I'm not sure who at Merrell thought switching shoes would be a good idea. Long story short, I even

Great lightweight shoe for outdoor and indoor use.

As this is my 2nd pair, it cannot be said exactly, they are very comfortable, but each foot is different and shoes are bought and used for different reasons, sometimes this boot does not meet its purpose.
