1 year: my review

Great running shoes for my 1 year old. She wore them for days on 3+ mile hikes (on and off) and never complained. That's my feedback.

Pros
  • Sturdy shoes but a little tight/hard. Should I hack?
Cons
  • Lack of leg support

We've had them for almost 2 months now. We have taken them on several trips, climbing, they are comfortable and have not ripped or ripped yet.

Pros
  • Fits great, looks great, very durable! - approved by the mother of a 3-year-old savage
Cons
  • Uncomfortable to wear for a long time

We love color! the best in my rating

They are very durable and comfortable to the touch (my 2 year old wears them, I don't) and I can't forget what a cute blue/navy/lavender combination! Maybe it's a hinted pair for girls, but whatever, the welcome change from all the darker green/red/blue/grey outfits for boys seems limited :)

Pros
  • The spacious toe box offers comfort for all foot sizes
Cons
  • Limited toe protection.

Do my pros and cons fall apart

My daughters are not very rough and the lining around their ankles has worn off after wearing them to school for a month. Disappointed with the price.

Pros
  • Merrell's are always good. The boy loves her
Cons
  • Wrong size causes discomfort

Good quality and comfortable

I bought these for my 11 year old to wear during a 2 week vacation where we did a lot of hiking. He liked them so much that he only took them with him when he traveled and wore them all the time.

Pros
  • You had a month. They fit well and are comfortable for my active 6 year old boy.
Cons
  • If your child has wide feet, this shoe will not fit them unless you choose one size larger.

Disappointed with your rating.

After only 3 weeks of wearing one of the laces broke which is very disappointing considering we paid more for a quality product we were hoping for.

Pros
  • The flexible outsole allows natural movement and freedom of movement during activities
Cons
  • Not recommended for people with high arches.

The material at the tip is worn out.

The material of the sock wore out leaving large black marks on each toe within a week or two of light use by my 3 year old. I would like to return. Very disappointed considering the price of the shoes and the brand.

Pros
  • Got this for my son, he just loves them. He's always up for an adventure, especially with this one. You are simply great!
Cons
  • Insufficient heel hold when going uphill

Excellent purchase! feedback from me

My son absolutely loves it! Perfect fit (he has very wide feet so they were perfect!) Great quality! Will buy more! That's my review!

Pros
  • Ideal for young hikers and adventurers looking for a durable and reliable shoe.
Cons
  • Limited reflection for night walks

Perfect fit: my rating

Update: Bought these shoes for the second time as daughter has outgrown her others. Definitely my favorite shoe for her. Was looking for good supportive shoes for my 1 year old daughter and they definitely fit perfectly.

Pros
  • Quality shoes that last. And if you need large sizes, this is the only choice.
Cons
  • Not suitable for rough terrain

Very very good comfortable shoes

Well tailored, very comfortable fit as expected, see size chart, do not order larger or smaller, measure your child's foot first and order accordingly

Pros
  • My 10 year old daughter lasted a year without falling apart. She loves them so we bought them in the next size up when she outgrew them.
Cons
  • I sent my son to school in new shoes - he came home with a broken shoelace.

Wears out too quickly.

My 9 year old hasn't worn them in three months and they are already fraying around the ankle and the thread has come loose in the forefoot. I was not impressed with the quality of these shoes! I expect more from Merrells. They are comfortable, easy to put on and hold up well, too bad the upper isn't durable.

Pros
  • We'll just keep buying them when he outgrows them! Very durable and fairly water resistant.
Cons
  • Weak laces that break easily

Provides durability

I liked this shoe at first, but after only three months it's starting to wear out a lot more than it should. The fabric around the upper is frayed on all sides. However, what worries me the most is the wear and tear on the metal loop that the launch passes through. The hinge is failing and looks like it will break soon rendering these shoes unusable. Update 3/2021: Velcro failed, shoes fell apart, didn't even last a year. Super disappointed!

Pros
  • Inspires confidence
Cons
  • Out of style

Great sole but small and difficult to put on.

I printed out the Merrel size chart and ordered the widest available. The length was perfect, the hole for the foot is stupid small. The market for good toddler street shoes is so big that I really had no choice and decided to keep them for myself. They didn't get lighter, ie didn't get sick. Or maybe toddler feet just keep up. Again, an outsole with great traction for serious hiking and rough terrain. But they could really improve the ankle fit (maybe it's the width of the shoe but whatever, I

Pros
  • Hands free
Cons
  • Very expensive

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Lighter, more mesh/breathable, hopefully just as durable.

All in all, I've yet to find an affordable toddler shoe with better support than the Revain Merrells. My little one had an M-Trail Chaser Jr. which he wore when we were out on muddy/gravel trails (compared to his Nikes). However, they are heavier than these and less breathable in my opinion as they have less mesh. (See side photo. This shoe is in the foreground. M-Trail Chaser is in the back.) That being said, I think they could be more durable and water resistant over time as they have more…

Pros
  • cool product
Cons
  • something different
