My Yorkie was diagnosed with CHF last week. One of the first questions the vet asked was if he was on a grain free diet. For many years they ate Royal Canin Hydrolyzed Protein dog food due to allergies. Around early 2019, I decided to try some of the newer grain-free diets, and they all seemed to do well with Whole Earth Farms grain-free salmon and whitefish cuts.
