Ideal for occasional work!

Very good grinder. Powered by my Hitachi batteries so I didn't have to buy new ones. Time it will continue to stop. For remote locations or specific short jobs, this is great. It does not replace a mains-powered grinder for heavy-duty work.

Pros
  • One year trial version
Cons
  • Only available in white

Not too bad and not too good

I bought Metabo because I already had Hitachi/Metabo tool batteries. Honestly, everything is fine. Definitely cuts light steel, but pressing hard will stop it. That's what I expected from a lightweight cordless grinder. This simplifies the task as there is no need to stretch the power cables. For larger jobs, I still use a corded angle grinder or saw.

Pros
  • Impressive
Cons
  • boring packaging

Why didn't I buy this sooner?

Really why didn't I get one of these years ago. I often have to cut large pipes or other metal where there is no power and grunt and strain to get something close enough to the power source to use my electric angle grinder. I really didn't think a battery powered grinder would have enough power to do the job I needed. In the end I had no choice and bought this grinder which WORKS with my Hitachi Slide batteries (as it should since they are from the same company). This thing ate whatever I asked

Pros
  • Best in its niche
Cons
  • I will add later
