When I personally held one of these just prior to this purchase, the feature that ultimately drew me in was the quality of the Guard Latch Lever. It was the very machine and finished part, and its hardness screamed quality. This tool had a cheap stamped plated metal lever when it arrived in place of this lever. For the price I think this Metabo coffee grinder is the best because of the 13.5A motor, variable speed and higher torque of 9600rpm. Handle 6 inch wheels. In fact, the Metabo 6-inch non-variable speed grinder costs $50 more and shares the same motor and transmission as the WEV15-125 HT. As a craftsman, I find the Metabo to be an excellent grinder, except that the Makita seems to have a little less vibration.
