Perfect fit for replacement parts

Absolutely perfect fit for the 04 F250 with a 'no frills' audio system. The package contained a broken connection between the main unit and the pigtail. It remained only to monitor the breakdown and put it in the factory harness. Everything worked as planned. There's no way I would put any head unit in any car without first checking the Metra website. It's so easy you'll feel like you're missing out.

Pros
  • Easy installation
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for the elderly

Not worth it for wiring harnesses

Not worth it, should fit my truck, checked twice. the wires are not where they should be, some are missing, such as the wiring harness connector, but are in the wrong place and cannot be moved, one wire was missing, the color doesn't matter, it's universal, but all cables should have connectors and just don't use what you don't need. dissatisfied ended up crashing into the seat belt to finish the job, good thing I own the truck and not a customer which would be bad if I said I had to wait for a

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • I have doubts

This wiring harness made connecting my existing 2003 F150 wiring harness to my new Pioneer DEH 6700BT as easy as matching colours. The color coding of the Metra harness matched the color coding of the Pioneer harness perfectly. I had to strip the wires a little more, but I preferred to twist and glue the connections rather than soldering or crimping them. After all the wires are matched and connected, the plug adapter on the Metra connects directly to the Ford OEM wiring harness. Turn the key…

  • Excellent overall performance

L works fine with lights and electronics

With other parts from Revain I was able to get the same money and put in a new radio after removing a 2000 Ford Expedition from the factory. The wiring harness matched each wire from the factory wiring harness to the new radio. Just be careful removing the rubber covering from the cables then they are a little thinner than I thought they would be but there is no radio distortion or crackling hiss and the new radio sounds much better. I would buy this item again, but it would be nice if there…

Pros
  • Consistent test results

Quality control is important

It was quick and easy to install. Unfortunately, the yellow power cable was broken at the pin in the plug. This led us to digging into the fuse box looking for voltage to try and find an open wire that eventually narrowed it down to a plug. Would I buy it again? Yes? was i upset Yes. It was a separate obscenity, I'm sure, and sadly, I pulled short straws. I think a better quality checkpoint at their manufacturing facility would have found this fault and scrapped the connector. What should have…

Perfect fit for my 2001 F150

Bought this wiring harness for a 2001 Ford F150 XLT long cab pickup. I was really concerned about connecting so many wires. The packaging says which wire is for what so it was easy to adapt to my wire harness that came with my radio/CD/DVD unit. I bought heat shrink tubing and tied it. wires at once and soldered the connection. Then I heated the shrink tubing. It was very easy to do in that order and didn't leave me with the big lump that I would have if I used a crimp on the connectors. in my…

Worked great in 2002 Ford F150

I bought this for a friend to install his new Android head unit in his truck and it worked great. I've been installing stereos in cars since the mid 80's and will never hook them up without a harness adapter. There are no wires to cut on your car, which at worst can lead to potential disasters and immediately reduce the value of your car. It was easy to tie. I literally didn't look at the wiring instructions on the box as the wire colors were exactly the same as the main unit. I soldered my…

Quick Easy Wiring Harness for 2001 Escape Radio Upgrade

This wiring harness worked well in a 2001 Ford Escape that I use as a work car. With this I was able to wire my new radio quickly and cleanly and connect it to the factory wiring harness. I kept my factory radio in case my new one fails during the warranty period and has to be sent in for repair. When traveling you must have a radio. The cables are long enough for easy connection. I wish someone could suggest a wiring harness for the upgraded factory stereo with subwoofer that most XLT Escapes…

  • All right!
