PLEASE DO NOT BUY THIS IF YOU HAVE BOSE.

PLEASE DO NOT BUY THIS IF YOU HAVE BOSE AND ON STAR AS FACTORY RADIO. If yes, you should buy the AXXESS GMOS-04, which allows you to plug and play as well as connect the factory interface.

Pros
  • This is amazing
Cons
  • Some little things

Fits my 2001 Chevrolet Suburban with star. No Bose

All I had to do to make this work was cut the pink wire in my original wiring harness and tied it to the remote wire coming from the CD player is coming. Here he switches on the factory amplifier and the whole system works. My factory subwoofer still works. The only thing not working is my Onstar.

Pros
  • High test scores for grip and durability
Cons
  • Not the best

Also easily detaches for future modifications

Perfect fit. Also easily detaches for future changes etc. I've always used Metra's stereo and speaker harnesses. STOP CUTTING FACTORY WIRES! The tag's price is worth it to avoid the hassle of shredding the original, checking diagrams and all that mess. I went for a few feature installs with Scoshe, but the Metra dash kits seem better, as do the seat belts.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Not sure

The hardest part of aftermarket radio installation just got EASIER!

I ordered this to replace the stock radio in my '98 GMC Sierra C1500 and this hanger matches the Kenwood radio I bought perfectly. This wiring harness adapter made the whole process a lot easier as I didn't have to cut the original wiring harness myself. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking to replace their stock radio with an aftermarket radio and don't want to cut the factory wires in the process.

Pros
  • Weight
Cons
  • No Instructions

Job done but not what I expected?

I needed this to install a 2 din stereo in an 01 GMC Yukon but the factory amp wouldn't turn on so I couldn't get any sound? I'm thinking that maybe a pin is missing to turn on the amp? Because I did a lot of research before buying everything needed to upgrade the factory radio and it should work without bypassing the factory amp!? I got my new radio working by building a bypass wiring harness, something I wanted to wait for but finally got it working. If it had all the contacts from my factory

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Nothing

I tried to fix the error. I feel guilty that I couldn't cancel the return. I'm wrong here! I thought it was the wrong part but it turned out to be the right part. No complaints but I'm concerned because the seller couldn't get paid after I got my money back. I'm sad because I like to be honest and admit my mistakes as soon as I find out about them. This product fits perfectly and no complaints from me. Please excuse my hasty grammar! Please also remember, at the end of the day we all have toโ€ฆ

Pros
  • The delivery was very fast
Cons
  • Crumpled

Worked on my 2000 Chevy Suburban with factory amp and amp.

Worked on my 2000 Chevy Suburban with factory amp and Onstar. I had to take the (PINK) wire from the 2nd harness on the factory radio underground wire harness and add a fuse (just in case) to get sound, this saves you from buying one of those special $100 doorbell adapters, when connected with a pink wire I still have a doorbell only not the sprocket.

Pros
  • 21 pin connector 5" long
Cons
  • Slightly snapped

I have a 2001 Chevy Silverado and was looking to install a stereo. Purchasing this harness has simplified installation a million times over. It provides a simple list of each cable's function and is easy to adapt to your aftermarket head unit. No need to cut the factory wiring. Everything is working fine. I recommend this to almost anyone installing a GMT800 in a compatible vehicle.

Pros
  • Connects to vehicle wiring harness
Cons
  • Available in black only

Doesn't work, but here's how to fix it on a 2002 Chevy Avalanche

I matched the cable colors to my Pioneer 8700 (it took 5 minutes to use 3M gel connectors!). I removed my old deck and this wiring harness connected directly to it. The deck turned on and connected normally except I had NO sound from the speakers (the sub worked on RCA). I was sure the speaker wires were wrong so I double checked the circuit. Everything was properly connected. After many hours of research I found that the blue wire with white stripe (amp on) from the new deck needed to beโ€ฆ

Pros
  • For 1988 to present GM models
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.
