Does not 'exactly' fit radio harnesses

These 'work' on 04 Tundra Double Cab and by work I mean you will need to drill new holes and enlarge some on the adapter itself. They were definitely not what I would call a straight cut product. It would be more useful if it was just a 1" flange all the way around so you can drill your own holes. I wouldn't buy them again knowing what I'm doing now and expecting more from a Metra product as I've been happy with them in the past.

Pros
  • Lots of goodies
Cons
  • old

Worked well on a 2007 Lexus GX

The 2007 Lexus GX that my teenage daughter inherited completely burned out the speakers. We decided to make a project out of it and install the new speakers ourselves. I was dismayed to find that the speakers we bought from the store didn't fit in the doors like the original speakers. This product came to our rescue by allowing us to adapt our new speakers to our existing door panel configuration. We put everything together with relative ease and now she can listen to music to her heart's…

Pros
  • Durable finish

Installed on the rear doors of the 2017 Subaru Impreza.

It worked great for installing midrange drivers that were unusually larger than the usual 6.5 inches, so it broke off the internal speaker mounting tabs and Impreza sat perfectly and well aligned in the back of a 2017 Subaru. doors. I dropped the screws that came with the kit and used metal screws to place the speaker on the bracket and cut the section for the wiring. It worked fine, most people don't realize they are modular for more options. Loudspeaker and car thread for factory loudspeakers

Pros
  • Best in its niche
Cons
  • Big and bulky

Worked well enough for a 2007 Scion tC

Did the job in a 2007 Scion tC with 6.75" speakers. Front door landing was good. Screws provided were not the best I went for a different screw setup with lock washers. The problem I had was aligning the holes for my 6.75" Rockford Fosgate speakers. It was almost impossible to combine 4 holes. In the end "I got it and it wasn't really a deal breaker so I think it's a decent product. My speakers needed a pretty deep well and they were more than enough. It's definitely better than cutting off a…

Fur. Good enough. on radio harnesses

Average view. The speakers I have are 6.5 inches and they barely fit in the cavernous hole. It would be great if I wanted to put something bigger in place of the factory speakers, but here I had to take a few extra steps to get the speaker to sit in place and provide good sound reproduction. Materials - low-quality plastic. There's no internal amplification, so it definitely doesn't meet the same specs as what I pulled out. It aligns the speaker and elevates it into the same alignment as the…

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Difficult to tell

Perfect fit for 6.5 inch speakers in 2005 Corolla

I bought Metra 82-8148 speaker adapter for 2005 Toyota Corolla front doors. I also bought their wiring harness. No wiring harness required but for $7 it was worth it. The speaker adapters fit my Corolla perfectly. There were no problems with the installation, the holes were drilled in the factory holes. To remove them, you need to drill rivets into the factory fasteners. My only issue was that the mounting bolts for the highest mounting point were too long, too close to the power window, so I…

  • Great price

Fits 2nd Gen Yaris Car Electronic Accessories

They will fit the front door of 2007 Toyota Yaris HB and will fit Rockford Fostgate Punch Pro P1650 6.5" Speakers (You must remove the inner tabs of the speaker adapter to make installing the speaker tweeter, quick and easy). Kit includes: #8-32 (8), 2-inch long zinc-plated slotted pan head screws; thin metal hex nuts (8); galvanized. washers (16). I cut the screws as I needed them to be no more than 1 inch long. can work loose over time due to all the vibrations in the speaker car door. For…

Worked on 2010 Toyota Rav4 Sport door speakers SAP

I bought 6.75 inch kickers for my Toyota that didn't fit my car so I received these instead of returning them . I first had to attach the speaker to the back of Kicker 40CS674 CS Series 6-3/4" Coaxial Speakers - a pair (black) for about $50 a pair. The speaker and adapter then fit in the Toyota door holes , but you need perfect sized screws for screwing/drilling in Toyota because now your hand can't get into the speaker hole to hold the nut.The combination of my speakers and the hole makes it…
