2007 Prius Double Din Stereo Fitting

Perfect for my 2007 Prius. Comes with everything needed for a full installation including the resistance needed to continue using your air conditioner. I also bought an Atoto A6 Android Dual-Din car radio. Everything turned out great!

Pros
  • Dope 🔥
Cons
  • Some little things

Great for car AV installation

After several months of installing the head unit (by myself, not an expert), I can say that it's holding up well so far Good. I like the finish and the shape. At first I thought the plastic was flimsy, but it turned out to be strong enough to easily install and hold the device securely. The attachment is also good. Basically satisfied.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • I don't remember but there was something

Mainly suitable for cars and automotive electronics

I see what the other reviewers were saying when they called it unreliable, but once secured it does the job. But I have a problem with the front cover. No matter how far I slide the stereo forward or back, the front cover doesn't seem to fit the holes it's supposed to snap into. But I'll fix it myself and bring it to mind. Overall I'm happy with the result and my stereo looks like it belongs with the rest of the dash.

Pros
  • Sleek design
Cons
  • There are flaws

The installation of my radio

I spent an extra 2 hours trying to figure out an installation problem when installing my new Hieha radio in my 2007 Toyota Prius. The brackets for my Prius do not fit in combination with the radio. I ended up having to rotate the standard metal bracket and remove a few screws to get it right. The gap-filling part fits snugly into the clamps, but there are gaps between the plastic parts. I could just buy a gap filler without the plastic clips.

Pros
  • didn't work Quality construction
Cons
  • Volume

looks nice. Fairly weak

Comes with necessary resistor to maintain AC functionality, looks good. Very thin. The plastic closures look brittle. The plastic muzzle had to be cut off as the radio didn't fit the size, not on the mount. but cutting 2mm to increase width also cuts off the only thing that stiffens. He could afford to cast a few cross supports, especially in the bottom corners, which is a very weak point.

Pros
  • Weight
Cons
  • No power

Shown is 99-8240B not 95-8240B sold

Ordered to fit a 2008 Prius with an OEM dual din stereo. The bag is not included. It's also not on the Metra website. I have a resistor that I'm not sure I need because I bought an interface that "should" take care of it. Now the search for a universal bag to fill the gap remains. Found the problem. Revain shows a picture of the 99-8240B that comes with the bag (maybe no resistor based on other comments, although I don't know for sure).

Pros
  • good thing
Cons

This is far from perfect compared to other stereo setups I've made for cars. Very thin and very cheaply made. I would advise going with the factory metal brackets if your screw holes match the plastic ones. My screen was 7 inches so I had to crop it a bit to fit better. Other than that, I said the kit is fine, but there really aren't any options for the Prius. Why isn't the resistor you need included in the package? idiot It's a 50 cent piece not available locally. Had to order online.

Pros
  • this is great
Cons
  • the list is going to be long.
