Not perfect, but good enough.

There's always something wrong with things like this. However, this is the closest I've ever come to a flush state since removing the stock radio from my 2003 Camry. There is a small gap at the bottom, but it is almost invisible at first glance. look at my picture

Pros
  • Easy-to-read control panel
Cons
  • There are nuances

Cheap and doesn't fit.

I can't install it flush with the dashboard. Sticks out too far. The lower part of the dashboard is made of very thin plastic. It really bends the word. I had to stick a small piece of wire between the bottom of the radio and the bottom of the dash to keep it flat.

F- ZERO point ZERO: Replacement parts

This kit just won the grand prize and is the biggest waste of money I've ever spent on Revain. There are no screws that should come with the kit and the hole is not wide enough for a regular JVC KD-RD98BTS stereo system and there is no way to hold the bezel on the stereo system and insert it flush into the hole. If I could get it to work it would look terrible. There was no way to modify it enough to make it work or even remotely look good.

Pros
  • Very fast delivery
Cons
  • Unbelievable price

Works but could be better.

This kit works and is really one of the few options. Some reviews/videos appear like the side mounts have been flipped or adjusted. Too bad they couldn't put more material on the frame and make it thicker and stronger. There should be a step or ledge on the outside edge of the frame to help position the frame in line with the factory frame. I'd happily pay another $5-$10 if that were the case. Again, this is one of the few options that really works, and I doubt Metra will ever improve on it.

Big! May need some or trimming.

I used this to install a $45 no-name double din radio in my 2006 Camry. It was very straightforward and easy. The only downside was that I had to cut mounting holes to get the radio in the right place. Luckily the mounts are plastic so it was easy to do with a drill. The bezel covered a few knobs and buttons on the side of the screen so I cut around it to make it work. A little more work than I'd like, but for the price it was an easy install and looks pretty damn close to factory unless you…

Perfect fit for 2004 Toyota Camry

I fitted this Metra 99-8231 Frame and Head Unit Adapter into the gaping maw of my 2004 Toyota Camry. It fits perfectly in the car and the double din box without any modifications. My experience with Metra adapters: They always fit. My _other_ experience with Metra adapters is that they are pretty cheap. The frames of the Metra adapters are made of thin black ABS plastic that hardly ever does its job. Expect any Metra adapter bezel to have a noticeable gap between the dash and the head unit; and

2002 Toyota Camry XLE - Small Floor Gap

I installed this unit in my car with a JVC KWAV61BT 2 din receiver. I'll admit I was hesitant to use the plastic on the sides of the unit to hold the stereo, but it worked just fine. What I didn't expect was a gap at the bottom of the device. Of course there is a very, very small gap at the top and on both sides, but it's less than 1/8 inch. The gap at the bottom is noticeable when you get into the car. It's impossible to avoid. larger than 1/8" and appears to reach 1/4" at the center of the…

Doesn't fit, useless

Real rubbish. Bought this for my wife, a 2005 Camry SE. Pros: 1. It wasn't too expensive and was delivered quickly. Disadvantages: 1. DOES NOT FIT. I'm not talking about a "gap below". I mean the single DIN main unit I have won't go through because that plastic is too thick. Looking to install the metal grommet that came with your aftermarket stereo? Too bad it's not an option at all, it won't work.2. No clamps or anything to fix the device in the dashboard3. Thin plastic where it counts…
