The part that should open big jars didn't work at all. You must have strength to use the tool. The smaller tool opened the bottles for a short time, then the silicone thinned causing the opener to stop working.

I was skeptical but this is one of the best products I've ever bought from Amazon. There was a ginger ale that didn't actually open. As far as I know it hasn't been frozen or shaken but several people have tried to open it with their bare hands and it was impossible so I bought it and believe me it was worth it.

I have arthrosis and it is becoming increasingly difficult for me to open containers. I could not get this product to work at all. If you can't apply great force when using this opener, the silicone doesn't really stick - it just slides over the top you want to open. I thought it was just me but my son who doesn't have arthritis had the same problem.

I've had trouble opening a large bottle of juice in the past. constant aggravation. This week I was able to open a bottle of the same type with ease. I didn't have to try that hard and the lid popped open easily. I wasn't impressed with the smaller instrument - it was just there. A large can/bottle opener is what I wanted and wanted.

This jar opener was recommended to me by my mum - she has severe arthritis and has tried LOTS of different ones. I love this can opener, it has made opening cans so much easier! The rubber/silicone side grips the glass lids very well. (One thing my mom showed me made it so much easier - just squeeze the end of the bottle opener instead of the whole handle.) Having had arthritis in my hands since I was young, I used a lot of can/bottle openers when needed. OXOs work well but wear out within a year due to heavy use. This fabulous bottle opener has yet to find a container it can't easily open, even water bottles with tightly sealed lids. I love it so much I've ordered another one to put in two drawers on either side of my kitchen. The little extra black is just as awesome. This grip also doesn't aggravate my carpal tunnel syndrome.
